Bring one out that doesn't let the labels get wet.
If you use it correctly, the labels will not get wet. The first generation never had a sealing ring and the labels didn't get wet there either. Please contact us to tell us more about your problems. I am sure we can help you to keep your labels dry. Send us a message to info@knosti.de
Hello! Please tell me where I can buy it?
You can order via our online shop www.knosti.de or by e-mail. We also have dealers in several countries who sell our products. Please write us a message if you need more detailed information. Your Knosti-Team
Hello! Please tell me where I can buy it?

What frequency does it run at and is that constant frequency or does it change and its intensity? Do you use a spray first that causes anti-static properties on the record or is that not necessary? Can I use AdBlue in it? That's what I use for manual cleaning with eye contact cleaner with enzyme formula have you got any opinion on eye contact cleaners? People say don't use it but I can't see there's an issue! I'm looking for a silicone spray after cleaning that is 1-2 microns thick not having much luck finding anything like that any ideas.
Thank you for your questions. The ultrasound frequency is 46 kHz. It does not run constantly, but with intervals. An antistatic spray is not necessary if you use our cleaning liquids, because they have an antistatic effect. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether it can be used with AdBlue, as we do not offer this, there are no tests on this and there is only a guarantee with the cleaning liquids we offer, such as the "Disco-Antistat Mixture" and the "Disco-Antistat Ulraclean Concentrate", which should best be mixed with double distilled water. I hope I was able to clarify your questions, otherwise feel free to write to us at any time. Your Knosti Team
Hello Knosti! You really need to make an English version of this product video.
You are right about that. Thank you for the objection. We will work on publishing this and future videos in English. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send us a message. info@knosti.de Thank you!
What's the Time for cleaning one vinyle with this ultrasonic machine?
You can freely select the cleaning time between 1 minute and 5 minutes in 10 second increments.
Heya Knosti - I've checked out the reviews of the previous generation of the system, and it's generally received top marks. However, the included liquid, while successful in cleaning residue and restoring records, caused the residue liquid to gather on the stylus during the playback. Has the liquid received any sorts of updates for second generation or it's the same one, requiring washing with distilled water so the residue is removed before the playback? Thanks!
Don't worry, this is only abrasion of the antistatic agent contained in the liquid that remains on the record after cleaning. Neither your needle nor the record will be damaged. This problem is usually caused by the fact that the record was not completely dry after cleaning when it was put back into the sleeve and stowed away. Even if the record appears dry on the surface, it may still be damp in the groove. If the record is now stowed away, the moisture in the groove cannot dry or dries very slowly and the antistatic agent does not cure completely (this usually occurs when using lined inner sleeves). When playing the record, the still soft antistatic layer is then rubbed off the needle and becomes noticeable as "white fluff" on the needle. Therefore, please bear in mind that the drying time given in the instructions is only a guide value which depends on various factors (e.g. ambient temperature, humidity, etc.). We therefore advise you to leave the records to dry for longer rather than too short a time after cleaning. The abrasion deposited on the needle can be easily removed with a needle cleaning brush, a suitable brush or special needle cleaners. The affected records should be washed again with your Disco-Antistat washer. For further info do not hesitate to contact us again :)
@@knostidisco-antistat1415 Thanks a bunch for the info. I guess I should give it a try - while none of my newer records need any cleaning (besides regular brushing before playback), I just got a few dozen *ancient* vinyls from my dad, and quite a few of them are in need of care. A lot of caked-in dust which is a nightmare to clean manually. Your kit seems tailored for the job!
@@Sharkaat84 You should also try washing your new records with our machine. You will be surprised how much dirt and production residues can be found on new records and how positive a cleaning has on the sound quality of these records.
@@knostidisco-antistat1415 That's an absolute lie, the residue that remains on the vinyl and then on your expensive stylus really doesn't go away even if you let your vinyl dry for 7 days (after playing the same LP three times there is still a lint residue on my expensive stylus !). The machine is great but the fluid is a very expensive joke and luckily there are other brands on the market these days that don't leave any significant residue on your vinyl.
Let’s hope more companies come out with these and show how overpriced the Degritter is
Agreed, but I do think this is overpriced too! Maybe I'm just cheap, but I can't imagine what's inside one of these to justify the cost!
@@pSynrg3031250Eur? It is overpriced for sure. My Vevor ultrasonic cleaner costs 200Eur, one fifth of Knosti, plus my Vever can clean 5 records in single cleaning run.
I would love to buy one of those and replace my spin clean record washer.
A PIECE OF ADVISE TO VINYL LOVERS. THIIS MACHINE WILL LEAVE YOU WITH DAMAGED LABELS. KNOSI'S RESPONSE WILL BE FIRST TO IGNORE YOU FOR WEEKS THEN TO BLAME IT ON YOU. THEN TO IGNORE YOU TEMRINALLY. I've been discovering other people have contacted them with the same problem.. Same response. Passing the blame on, then just STONEWALLING YOU . Buyit at your own peril.
YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL when using this machine. Although the clean can be ok, YOU do RISK ending up (like I and others have ) with DAMAGED LABELS on several records, on the second wash. using the first generation machine. Not sure if the latest non ultrasonic model remedies that. On mine, a solid plastic adge on the casket which clamps the record at both ends rubs on the label in a circular motion as you screw it in. A recipe for disaster, especially if you are unicky to get the label wet, which is likely. I hope knosti do something to remedy this , and the sharp edges and corners on the underside of the white plastic caps which 'coats' the top-end of each divider on the rack. These too could cause damage to both vinyl and labels. ALSO: ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. You'll wait weeks for a reply which will on arrival put the blame on you. Then if you try turn that around or find a solution you'll be ignored, letter after letter by the very rude , insensitive Mr. Sebastian. Due to such terrible shortcomings I am now looking for a different machne altogether.
Ich bin gespannt 😋
What chemicals are in the cleaning solution?
Hello Brendan, it basically depends on which of our cleaners you use. Our cleaning concentrate Disco-Antistat Ultraclean consists of a cleaning component specially developed for cleaning vinyl, an antistatic agent and a little citrus fragrance. The concentrate should be mixed with double-distilled water (e.g. Disco-Antistat BiDest). Our ready-mixed cleaning agent Disco-Antistat Mixture also consists of a special cleaning component, an antistatic agent, double-distilled water and some alcohol. However, the exact chemical composition of both cleaning agents is a trade secret ;)
Reuse the dirty water?
Hello Andre, that depends on the pollution level of the Mixture. Depending on how dirty the records to be cleaned are, one litre of the cleaner is sufficient for a maximum of 200 maintained records. The higher the degree of soiling of the LPs, the fewer records should be washed with the cleaner, as naturally soluble substances accumulate in the cleaner over time. As soon as the initially clear liquid has turned brownish amber, you should replace the cleaning liquid.
