I am now on my 8th day, yesterday I had a quick shower and after that I started experiencing pain on my left breast. I took medication and it was better, but I do feel I have more pain on the left side and nothing on the right. Is this normal?

That’s a great question. Every surgeon has different protocols and patients have their own factors that contribute.

I'm 4 weeks now and still experiencing pain on my left breast

I'm 2 weeks in and my left breast is very red and swollen. My whole left side feels numb and tinkling. I think I may have had nerve injury. But my doctor says that's all normal!
The red and swollen could be concerning, depending on the degree

By 2 months you are starting to see results but it still has a way to go. Express your concerns with your surgeon. He or she may want to have you massage or consider compression.

You can’t remove the implant and clean it up then put it back in?
The implant is considered "infected" with capsular contracture and a new implant is required.

I’m considering getting a BA in spring. However, I’m worried about implant illness. Is that common? I did have a tummy tuck in March. I’m very pleased.
It's hard to know how common it is as there is currently not an established disease and there are no studies to diagnose it. Based on nearly two decades of experience I can tell you that if it exists at all it is rare. My own belief is that there is probably something to breast implant illness and it is likely a hypersensitivity reaction for some patients. Similar to environmental sensitivities, we are all very different. What bothers one person, doesn't another.

So why does it hurt when it gets ruptured? How much time does a person have Defoe it gets dangerous to have a ruptured implant?
Thats a great question. Although a ruptured implant can have symptoms, including pain, many ruptures are "silent" and have no symptoms at all. There is not a well defined amount of time before a ruptured implant would give you problems. The best answer I can give you is that if you have a ruptured implant it should be replaced right away.

Yes they are surprisingly strong
They age and that’s what most plastic surgeons won’t tell you after 10-15 years they will lose this kind of strength because the Immunsystem of the body tries to get rid of the implant.
