St Peters perform their arrangement of the Northern Ugandan dance "Larakaraka" at the Madula 25th anniversary "Joined by a Drum" showcase at the New Vic Theatre on 29th April 2024 - accompanied by the U3A leek drummers, Mr.Will and the Jaguza troupe.
The performance was devised by Adam Luwandaga of Mama Music in Kampala Uganda and taught to groups in Stoke On Trent to prepare for the celebration event.
The Mama Music school provides education, music and dance opportunities to young people who would otherwise never get such a chance - many come from very disadvantaged backgrounds - the school also provides somewhere to live for many of them!
