Thank you for sharing this information, the chairs are amazing and I love the fabric.
Wow I had no idea welting was hot glued like that! 😮
I love this guy!!! Especially at the end :) Seriously this was great.
Thank You very much for that video 🎉 I managed to fix my 5 large sofa pillows. Thank you.
Great video! What I want is to add rocker action to my new Pride $2k power lift chair. Any ideas?
I’d have to see the chair. There are metal swivel rocker units, but I couldn’t tell you they are suitable for your chair
It will help us know the name and sickness of the materials
FYI, some Dacron fills are slick and silky feeling while others are rough and clingy. You should consider replacing fills that are not slick and silky in texture.
Can u share the details of the nail gun ur using
I use Rainco staple guns. #7 staples 3/8 crown. 1/2 inch for webbing and thicker fabrics
What is the stapler called that you are using in this video ?? I am furniture repair technician. I’ve been looking for one like that but can’t find it
Ace clipper stapler
@@MarksUpholstery thank you !
IS there any weight Restrictions for these Specifications?
Not that I know of
Heat gun does the trick
PLEASE!!!!! NO MUSIC!!!!!
I clicked on this video because I have an identical seat but a bit wider, mine is called a tractor seat. Funny enough I was thinking of leather, what oz leather did you use? Thanks for stating which foams you used, now I know what to look for. My seat is to go on a Tricycle I am restoring.
Worked brilliantly!! Thank you so much!
Great job Mark! Thanks. 🇦🇺👴🏻
I Love the ease when I have the right tools at hand definitely 💯
I have chairs like that with a cut out for the legs. Is it possible to upholster the seat pad and still get it to fit in the space. Do you have a video showing how to upholster the seat pad and still pop it back in the chair. Previously it was 'seagrass' but my cat has destroyed that and so I would like to reupholster with fabric but unsure how to work round the cut out areas.
Send pics to betchesupholstery@gmail.com
What is that thing he is using to staple the case back up?
Ace clipper hand stapler
@@MarksUpholstery thanks! So you can just staple the thing back up without sewing it and the stuffing stays in?
@@willho5347 It’s optimal to sew it, but stapling will suffice
The transformation was so exquisite - Bravo! Adored the details.
i really like how detailed you are ,thank you for sharing . much love from Kenya .
thank you. Grate solution
Thanks for the hear gun info!
I have a Victoria chair seating deck and a loose feathers cushion How could I re enforce the deck?
Looks amazing!! I’m learning so much from you please keep the videos coming!!!
Excellent craftsmanship!
Great job !!
Thank you for another excellent video!!!
Your good upholstery work I like 👍 because I am also sofamaker upholsterer

Thank you for another excellent video! 🇦🇺👴🏻
Great work done ❤
Is there something I can do when the insert material is disintegrating around the fill? When I try to fix the stuffing, it is just like a big dust storm of disintegrated insert material.
Without making a new tick, you’ll have to treat the cover as the tick.
This is a very proper way! After wathcing your video, I looked around my room and see what I have got, end up I just used newspaper and 6 steel clothing hangers for a quick fix on mine
This is great! Thanks! I've got a couple old dining chairs in my garage that sink in and this is exactly what I needed.
How many hours did it take to complete the chair?
Roughly 10-12 hours
Great, that's just what I needed to know. Thank you.
Excellent project for a DIY Easy to understand video. We all have chairs like this!
Great job!!
Hey Mark, How awesome of you to share that information with us when you could have easily kept it to yourself, requiring us to visit someone like yourself to restore the comfort end of our parson's chairs. I purchased some parson's chairs (second hand) and am finally getting around to reupholstering them, but noticed that the seat portion sagged quite a bit. I'm so excited that you're kind enough to share some great insight and advice for those of us who are not professionals. It looks like I could stand to watch a few more of your videos as well, so I'm a grateful new subscriber! Thank you again for so willingly sharing what "the average Joe or Jill" can do to restore this parson's chair!
Welcome aboard 👍🏼
Great job, thanks, I can do this, I was concerned about the back inset cording but it looks like it is a double cording, with the raw edge on the back of the double cording.
How do you make the covered cording, is it a double cording? I know it must be send with a machine
I use a double welt foot. Personally, I do the first welt single then use the double
I found your channel and I cannot stop watching your videos. Your work is amazing!! Can you please explain what you mean when you say half off half on? Thank you!!
You want the cording itself(not the salvage) to straddle the edge of the wood.
Is it cheaper to buy the materials to make your own?
Sometimes its not cheaper but its custom and more durable. Nowadays a lot of furniture is made to be replaced instead of beeing padded back.
Furniture comes in varying quality. Dyi is cheaper per the quality, but you have to be skilled enough to do it. Obviously, it’s cheaper for me to build my own, but very few are qualified to do so due to having the various skills involved. This particular video is primarily for entertainment value and helpful to skilled shops.
Where did you get the fabric?
The fabric was provided by the client
That fabric is too die for. Anyway you could figure where it came from?
I just found it. $235. Way fair. It's so beautiful
Feeling inspired 😊
Lol
Thank you so much for this video! Instant subscriber. Is there a name for the high quality dacron? Reccommendations?? Thank you again for the guidance.
I get my polyester fiber from Robey’s Fabrics
This was so helpful - exactly what I was looking for, and a simple solution! Appreciate the instruction.
That steam trick is an amazing tip! Foam is so expensive, but when your cushions have gotten old and have broken down, there's just nothing you can do to bulk them up in any lasting, significant way without addressing the foam. Having an alternative solution to replacing it is game changing! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with all of us!
Nice work…
I would do a stay stitch on the seams much easier when you ironing pressing
