    Hello, my friend! It's me again, with more questions. After all, you understand this subject much better than I do, especially since I'm just starting out. Earlier today, I was beginning my project by connecting the Tamiya motor to an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) for a single motor, but I wasn't successful. Is the ESC you used designed for dual motor connections, or did you modify the Tamiya motor in some way? I'm not sure if it supports the reverse function. I really need your help, Allen. The only result I got was that the motor connected to the radio operated only in forward and reverse, but I couldn't make it alternate sides like yours does. Please help me complete my project.

Or is there any program to make it back to original position? By the way about my problem of tank noise, finally after 1.5 years looking for it, I have found the solution. I am using GA16 reduction motor, it is so quiet. The quietest among all and apparently the problems I have about the noise is because of the motors. N20 motor is too small for 1/35 so its creating loud noise, while Tamiya Twin Motor Gearbox gears are noisy because is not as precise as reduction gears on reduction motors. GA16 is just perfect! I will share it one day.

      Hello Patrick, 1. Bond the driving wheel (sprocket) and the hexagonal rod with A+B glue. Then pinned them with 0.5~0.7mm steel wire after the glue is solidified. Do not care the length of the hexagonal rod this moment . 2. The inner hole of the final gear of the gearbox is tight. Put the gearbox into the hull, then put in the final gear, and then insert the drive wheel from the outside of the hull, so that the drive wheel, the gearbox and the final gear will stay on the hull. 3. After confirming the position of the driving wheel, pull the driving wheel and cut off the redundant shaft, then insert it again, and fine-tune the position of the driving wheel. Then it is done.

      Information from internet: The Leitkreuz is part of the lighting system of military land vehicles. To provide any evidence opposing forces may at dark the road driving lights, for example, for driving under combat conditions of tanks and trucks through the so-called Tarnlicht be replaced. It helps the following vehicle in the column to detect the position and the distance of the preceding vehicle. The lighting of the Leitkreuzes is very weak, so it is only a few meters far visible to the naked eye even in total darkness. The blackout lighting has four stages, Leitkreuz illuminated when the stage 1 and 3 The Leitkreuz (also Tarnlicht Leitkreuz- called) is located at the rear of a vehicle and is attached to something covered up usually. It consists of a green rubber plate with a painted white cross. At the intersection of the cross-beam body is attached a small lamp in which there is an incandescent lamp (24 V / 4 watts). Through four holes in the lamp body, the white cross beams are selectively illuminated. To stabilize and protect the lamp, a cross-shaped frame is attached from thin steel tubes. The flexible rubber plate is mounted so that it is possible not damaged or torn off when driving off-road. When driving in the dark column at least one stage of Tarnkreises should be generally used. The illuminated in this state Leitkreuz represents the minimum of what is required of the following drivers for orientation. This is especially true when driving on forest roads at night where little or no residual light available and the front man can only be guessed yet. Rides Leitkreuz or the Tarnlicht ever be carried out only on command and not permitted on public roads in peacetime.

    Hello, how important is auto tension adjuster? I mean we should install it or it is just an option? Is there any criteria/type which tank you build with a tensioner and which one is not needed? Is the real one using auto tensioner too? If not, what happen when all the suspension is compressed? I am sorry for many questions. Because after so many trial on my homemade obstacle, I heard little unpleasent noice when the tank is climbing and it is when suspension is compressed but I couldn't locate it, but I thought it is the sound of a sprocket pushing through and slip the track. Edit: I found the reason of the noise, it is coming from the rear torsion bar, but I still curious about questions above.

    • @allen8775
      @allen8775 Před 2 lety

      Tension adjustment is designed in every chain transmission system to keep good contack on sprocket, because we can't get the just suitable length for every system. And, slack on the exit side when the chain is running Tank runs on kinds of different roads, so you can find the track is always tight and loose changed. For old tank, most of adjustment by way of screw, such as Tiger, JS-3 and M60(M48). Modern tanks such as Leopard use cylingers so that the tank runs fast on uneven ground, starts and brakes, the idler can react quickly to maintain track tightness. The problem on my Challenger 1 is track being too heavy and sagging. It forces on support rollers and causes some noise, and can not run fast. You might don't need a auto-adjustment if your tanks can run well always, But the track will still be loose due to wear after a long run. So, it would be better to design an adjuster if possible.

    • @ulungprabowo
      @ulungprabowo Před 2 lety

      @@allen8775 ah I see. So the old tank use screw and most of the time we see it sagging like tiger, KV, JS is because they are moving slowly right? And the modern one using auto tension because they are moving fast. I hope by just running it slowly on obstacles I wont need adjuster, as my scratchbuilding skill is not there yet too. By the way I think I want to make the leopard 2A6 or 2A7 for my next tank in the future, in your opinion is it better to buy tamiya Leopard 2A6 + metal tracks or Meng 2A7 and using its workable track? Both are the same price, but I just afraid that Meng 2A7 track will fail and it is going to be hard to take off the track since it has no pin. Meng 2A7 + metal track will be too expensive for sure. • @allen8775
      @allen8775 Před 2 lety

      @@ulungprabowo There is also the issue of front- drive and rear-drive. Auto. tension adjustment should be more suitable for rear-drive vehicles, also because of the slack on the leave side when sprocket runs. About Leopard 2A7, I suggest to try MENG, although I haven't assembled it before, it should be of good quality, and the plastic track is not as fragile as people think, you can take a look at my M1A1 www.youtube.com/watch?v =9WwibUg4-54, It can runs very quickly and smoothly, no question. @ulungprabowo Před 2 lety

      @@allen8775 I see, that is really make sense. For the leopard I am kinda happy you choose Meng, because I actually prefer the plastic too, it supposed to curl better to sprocket because the section is like the real one and it doesnt give the unecessary weight, especially it is a modern one, not like a tiger or kv where the sagging effect supposed to be seen. And also plastic sprocket may going to last longer with plastic track than the metal track. And yes your abrams plastic tracks seems sturdy. Maybe I am going to make the leopard suspension semi working, so number 1 and 7 is fixed and number 2-6 is working suspension with a pretension to maybe 40° down and limit the movement just so the wheel number 2-6 will always touch the track on the relatively flat ground. The suspension thing kinda drain my mind a lot, it is tiring because it is so small so we can't really make it last long and adjustable. This morning my suspension bar separated from the plastic and I got to re-glue it. I want to focus on turret works next time not on suspension, i give my time on the model mostly taking care of the suspension parts, makes me never have a time to explore the turret movement or to paint the model 😅 Or maybe you have any suggestion for the glue you use, the most often failed is the fixed side of the torsion bar, the one that it anchored into.
