Is the bed king or queen? Can you get camper with Air-conditioning?
The bed is 5 feet wide and the length is custom but can be made over 6’ if desired. Air conditioning is not an option direct from TC, but they can accommodate several after market designs.
Thank you!
You’re welcome.
I added one to my build!
Great choice!
Excellent video, bud! Wished we could have hung out even more!
Agreed! We will definitely have to plan a trip together soon! Thanks for stopping in and saying hi!
Found your channel looking for vids on people using their teardrops made from wood off-road. I wouldn’t have what it takes to do those high passes. Whew, I had to take a breath just watching.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. It’s always interesting to hear how people stumble across our channel. There were certainly areas over the passes that I don’t think I would pull a trailer over again, but it was an amazing area to explore. As far as wood construction off-road trailers - TC Teardrop is a well constructed teardrop.
@@FreysOnTheSide what I like about TC over Hiker is that rear galley. I’m enjoying watching some other vids on your channel. Interested to see how you get along with the Tundra, but I’m sure it’ll be nothing except great. I have a Ram Power Wagon so I love seeing people do what you’re doing in big trucks.
@@That_Paul_Guy In our experience there are two places you spend majority of the time. One - inside when you sleep. Two - the galley, which arguably we spend the most time around camp. Having a easy to use galley is fundamental to teardrops. Thanks for check out some of our other videos. We honestly are a family based channel that enjoys sharing our story.
T@G are supposed to be the Best
T@Gs are a well built trailer with a great name for quality. I think the best teardrop trailer is the one that fits your needs.
For camping, is there actual campsites? Or just off the side of the trail?
There are pull-out and dead end national forest roads that could work for camp along the way. In addition, you pass several designated campgrounds.
Waaaaayyyyy tooooo looong...you won't get our support until u get it right vs just trying to maximize your return by baiting n waiting....not

Bowline.....easy to teach kids, or anyone. Here it is...the rabbit comes out of the hole...around the tree...and back in the hole . Someone taught me that when I was about 6 yrs old..72 now..still remember it! Haha
I enjoyed this video! We recently acquired a new to us teardrop trailer and backing that sucker up has been a learning experience for sure. Still need more practice so your advice was spot on! Cheers!
Welcome to the Teardrop community! A single axle, short wheel base is more challenging to back up than many expect. Smooth and small corrections is definitely the key. Best of luck on your teardrop and outdoor adventures. Looking forward to hearing about those fun experiences.
@@FreysOnTheSide Thank so much! We are loving our teardrop (Bean Trailer - Mean Bean). We had a Class C RV a few years ago but this is fitting our lifestyle so much better.
@nicadavelife Mean Bean is an awesome trailer. The build quality is amazing and love the target market of more rugged off-road version. We thought about one for in the past as I think it would hold up to our Wisconsin winters well. We also recently moved to a full size truck in lieu of our Jeep wrangler, so I feel the weight of these trailers is a little less concerning. Total side note: we have also talked in depth about a class C, but we think this will be a down the road decision.
Thank you for thiss video!!!
You are welcome.
for patches, use glue dots (Zots) little dots of sticky rubber like the ones credit cards come with in the mail. Some headliners do not hold the velcro and need to be pinned in. these come in roll or sheet, used for posters etc.
Great advise. On our Tundra I was struggling to get the patches to stick. This might be a great solution.
Tried hearing what he’s saying the name of the fridge is. Hard to understand. What’s the name please?
Vitrifrigro. They also sell Dometic.
Matt, so sorry your baby got hurt :(, thanks for the video of Moore!
great video. one of these days I'll get out there..looks like a great time.
That would be pretty awesome Will!
This is awesome! 😎
The MOORE expo is one of our favorites.
Hemi swap would have been nice in your jeep. America's Most Wanted does these engine swaps and they do financing. I'm thinking about it for my jeep gladiator.
That certainly would have solved one piece of the pie, by adding more horsepower. Unfortunately, the Hemi swap doesn't provide better ride comfort and more interior space.
@@FreysOnTheSide , the willy's jeep gladiator has a really smooth suspension and the seats are comfortable on long trips. I've read that the gladiator has more leg room as well. Do you miss going "naked" in the jeep? I hope you have fun on your trips and be careful out there. I want to go on a nice trail and put the windshield down on my gladiator for the 1st time for a different experience.
@@user-fk2dm5oy9f I bet that will be fun riding down the trail with you windshield down. Be sure to bring some goggles and some extra toothpaste to get those bugs out of you teeth. Save travels and stay hungry for adventure!
@@FreysOnTheSide , I'll be in 4lo when I have the windshield down. 😃
Loved seeing you all there, hopefully we can camp together soon!
Always nice to see you as well! Looking forward to our next camp together.
Great video of the Moore Expo. Glad you made it home safely afer hitting the deer. Did you order a heavy bumper?
Much appreciated. We are home safe and sound. A steel bumper did move up the list a bit sooner than we were anticipating.
Always good seeing you Man! Love the new rig and look forward to seeing your future videos on the build.
Thanks for stopping by and saying hi! It was nice to see y'all as well. We are looking forward to taking the truck out on some fun adventures.
Thanks for sharing that great cause! Good video and sorry about the truck, man. I'm sure it'll be as good as new or better if you upgrade.
There is a lot of good in this world, but the bad can be pretty scary. I learned a great deal attending the presentation and the NCMEC is a great organization. I appreciate you consistently supporting our channel and leaving comments. I personally like to share "our story" angle, more so than the review of each booth kind of video. Both have there place, but my goal is to capture our experience, selfishly something I want to watch years from now with the kids. We honestly got off pretty lucky with the truck and by removing a few parts we were able to drive away. Soon the truck will be repaired and I am strongly considering upgrading a few parts.
Great hanging out with you guys as always! Sorry that deer intentionally messed up your new truck.
I don't think the deer appreciated my "oh deer" joke. Always a pleasure hanging out with you Dude. Let's plan on getting together soon.
@@FreysOnTheSide anytime.
Sorry to hear about the truck guys, glad everyone is alright! Looks like a winch bumper might happen a bit sooner than you originally planned!
Defiantly a bummer indeed. A steel bumper and winch defiantly moved up the list of priority.
Great video as usual. Link me to your water container please :)
Thank you! I will work on getting you a link shortly. We have been getting a fair amount of questions on gear we run, so I am working on launching a page on our webpage. A few just links and a few affiliated. I hope to create the page this weekend, or at least start.
Great highlights as usual. Sorry about the deer moment. We have had a few of those over the years as well. Never fun. Thankfully we haven't had the typical moose moment yet.
Thanks Drew. I know it's not in favor of the CZcams algorithm, but I value telling "our story" angle vs the walk around of each boot video. Both have their place and I do plan to do a few walk through videos at future expos. And I thank the heavens it was just a deer and not a moose. That certainly would have made a mess of things.
Wow, twist ending!
Indeed! Thanks for sticking it through to the end. All is well, we are safe and the truck is scheduled for repair.
Oh no! 😮 Hope the truck is repairable 🙏
All is well. We are safe and the truck is scheduled for repair. Until then, I just need to drive around with a bum looking truck.
I see us talking to the famous people at 13:47. It was nice meeting you and your family.
Hahah. @live2daywanderland is kinda a big deal...glad y'all were able to chit chat with them. Thanks for stopping in and dropping a comment. I wish we would have spend more time talking and exchanging stories. It gets crazy at these expos. I am sure our paths will cross soon enough.
Josh and Rachel from (not Antigo) here. it was great to finally meet you guys. What a great time moore was. Our first time but it will certainly not be the last. Sorry about the deer fiasco. Looks like it's time for a new bumper and a winch now..
Haha. Thanks for stopping by and exchanging stories. Honestly, it is a pleasure to meet those that are on the other side of the camera. MOORE was outstanding with great people, awesome weather and outdoor adventure gear for days. Both being form Wisconsin, I am sure our paths will cross again. The deer was defiantly not fun, but we are thankful the family is safe and we have insurance to cover the mishap.
Nice Matt! Sorry about your rough ride home. I guess that aftermarket bumper is sooner than later. See you at KOAR this year?
Thank you. All things considered, we got off pretty lucky. See you at KOAR.
Dang we was in the green Nissan Xterra and didn't even get to meet ya man 😔
No worries. These expos tend to be very busy. Each year I find myself spending more time socializing and less time walking around and still feel like I miss people.
@@FreysOnTheSide same as this was our 2md time in Storytellers row and just so much going on compared to last year

It was great meeting up with you again. Looking forward to next year!
Always nice to see friendly faces. See you next year!
Thanks for the tips, especially the guy wires one ❤
You are welcome. This was a tip shared with me by Todd with TC Teardrops. He has a ton of knowledge and is always willing to share.
Welcome to the yota club!
Thank you! We are loving our new truck.
Great Tips! I am just starting to learn about camping in Teardrop trailers and this was really helpful! Just made a demo video of my first time camping in one. Overall seems like a great asset! Not to big but creates a solid place to sleep and store a lot of your gear!
That's awesome. The best part about teardrop camping is its generally pretty simple and the learning curve can be climbed quickly. Good luck on your camping adventures. Be sure to drop in time to time and drop some insights and tips.
That is pretty good, I’m been thinking about the TC teardrops so your video is very helpful to me. Thanks ❤
You are welcome. TC is a great trailer for many reasons, but top of the list is quality, simple living style and tough as nails. If you end up going down the TC route, be sure to let them know Frey's On The Side sent you. Also, if you have any questions feel free to reach out.
@@FreysOnTheSide oh of course! I appreciate the response
I will always love my jeeps, however my f150 has more power/room/durability than the jeep and we have enjoyed our travels in it!! (and yeah... I did cut a full ragtop roof in it cus I just missed the open air driving!!!...but hey it was only HALF the size of the roof I cut off the van!)
That sounds like an pretty impressive mod! I don't think I could convince myself to cut a hole in my truck roof.
After cutting the entire roof off of a Ford Econoline. And putting a port hole in our camper for a rooftop tent. It only seem natural to measure about 11 billion times before making the first cut. Absolute favorite modification I’ve ever made!! don’t be scared. You can always buy another entire truck cab!! 😂
There's going to be many people who miss the Tundra with the V8. That Tundra of yours won't even feel the TC behind it.
The power is truly nice. I truly forgot what proper road manners were like.
Dang, gonna miss you at MOORE this year. (Un)fortunately headed to Northern Arizona.
Hope you had/have an amazing time in Northern Arizona. We have never been, but is certainly on our list.
100% my thought pattern right now. As my kids grow, I've been looking at the Tundra for aftermarket. My only concern is length for some of the things that we do. Still on the fence. It's good to hear your thought process. Great points.
I may still be in the honeymooners stage, but boy do we love the truck. We just went to the MOORE expo last weekend (reason behind my delayed response) 700 miles one way, and it was such a pleasant drive. We had all sorts of cross winds, head winds, weather of all sorts and the truck, well just drove itself. The space in the rear seat is almost ridiculous and provides a black hole of toys, books and writing utensils. But you are right with length of truck. Going from a Jeep to a full size truck its crazy! These things are huge! I pull into a parking space and when I get out, I realize my truck is half way into the drive lane. I do want to get a few more things built, but want to return to Colorado to hit some of those awesome trails. Just try to avoid the skinny or switch back ones.
Good choice! Will you be out at Flagstaff this year?
Thank you. We have really been enjoying the truck. As of right now, we do not plan to be at the expo. But you never know. A more likely opportunity would be the Mountain expo.
Love this. Should ride like a caddy compared to the Jeep with more room and hauling capacity. See you in a few days!
Like ridding on clouds!
Totally the right move for all the right reasons, especially power and space, which always seems to be a premium in Jeeps and most midsized trucks! For us, it's just as much about the journey as it is the destination, and I enjoy the harder trails/getting to the more remote locations, so feel a Jeep is the right tool (for us). When we traded our portly and underpowered 10A JKUR, I regretted it so much that I ended up with a JT a couple of years later. The 8 speed auto made a big difference for sure, but still back to power and space; there is only so much to be had with that JT platform.
So far we have loved the change. The power, space and comfort has been a nice upgrade. But I am sure I will be steaming, when I sink my 7000 lb truck in a moderately easy trail trying to get back to a campsite. I couldn't agree with you more. The Jeep platform JK, JL, JT are truly the off-road champ. We never made it to Moab in the Jeep which I do regret, but we were able to tackle the Colorado BDR, which was amazing. Although the truck probably could handle it, I would want to get a few more mods before I tackle those trails again.
