Annis and I spent the day exploring the annual Delaware carnival day that was held down in the capital city of Dover, Delaware. In terms of a true carnival event, there is no doubt what is experienced up here in the US is just a small taste of the real thing when you are down in the islands. That said, events like this merely provide a fun event for Caribbean people living up here in Delaware who want to be reminded of the lively traditions they left behind back in the islands.
