i was born and raised in lorain and lived in that area for many years still have friends and family in the lorain area i left there about 16 years ago i live and work out west. i might come back to visit some day. but getting ready to move from the midwest going down south. something would have to be very great job wise and home wise for me to move back to lorain or the cleveland ohio area. so for now i will move to the southern united states.

I lived in Lorain from late 80s through mid 2008. It is a typically depressed town with high crime, police who are untrained & act with impunity, and anyone with a thimble of common sense or self-preservation has LONG since moved away!

Those naborhoods are horrible cannot walk outside after dark due too crime Crack and gangs rule that whole area I was born in Cleveland 1965 lived on west 84th just off Franklin we moved to Brunswick in 1981 cause the naborhoods were in fast declined I agree those homes are some of most beautiful homes ever built but when it comes to safety it is one of worse areas to live so be honest great homes horrible naborhoods even during the day lady I have few friends who still live in Ohio city there are alot robberies murders and drug over run down there do homework sorry but just being honest

Ummmm Parma has great Police!!!!! Some of the best police by far ... Complain about speed traps but it prevents death also allows them to make sure a group of juveniles aren't rolling in a stolen car ! Or a drunk isn't going to total your car ...The only issue I noticed was Parma's Youth lots of great kids and families. But also some teens that want to be whats called hood!!! I suggest all you Parents check your child's Social Media Accounts !!! Make sure your child isn't adding anyone they don't know for a like! For a Follow or Friend Seriously!!! GO TO YOUR CHILDS SOCIAL MEDIA! CHILDREN ARE BEING RECRUITED BY CLEVELAND GANGS !!! Lots of home invasions car jackings and kids walking around with book bags full of drugs and guns! Children are being set up and killed over drug deals shoe sales or just because they are on your child's social media account. There is also a huge scam running on these social media sites where they steal pics and post them using it for money !!! 14 yr olds in hotels stolen cars with guns in schools selling and buying drugs so watch your children and thier friends before you get a call saying they been shot down in cleveland streets or locked up ! Homes are a little expensive in parma but scenery is very beautiful lots of deers and chipmunks.. schools other than that small group are pretty good lots of little jobs...most of the people friendly. REALLY WISH parma would have more affordable rentals that cater to working poor instead of section 8 ... So parma is not bad if your a person that enjoys outdoors lots of deers and like I said Parma Police Do Not Play Which Is A Good Thing! Thanks Parma Police ! Keep chasing the thugs away !

I know a few people who live in Parma. They all said the same thing that people are saying about their police department. Speed traps everywhere, especially 25 MPH zones, and they will pull you over if you're black or if you have a certain color car or certain color windows. Proof is in the pudding.

Why would anyone want to live in that shit hole dangerous area?!!!!!! You could pay me to live around there !!!!!!! Anyone with half a brain knows what you can buy in the suburbs for that kind of cash. Safe living is the first thing you get in the burbs
