For me its the rudeness and entitlement of people here. Its on another level. May act nice on the outside but they are not really. Not all but a lot. Im from TX and I don’t find people over there to be as rude. Yes and the cost of living for a very small place.

It's not an extension, it's postponement. an extension requires a form to be filed, a postponement is an automatic revised due date...however, many tax software programs are ill-equipped to handle a postponement, so an extension is still required if you intend to use their software to e-file...w/o an extension, mailing is the alternative option, just make sure you have a banner headline on the top of form 1040 indicating that you are filing pursuant to the IRS Rev Proc # Related to the 2023 CA Winter Storms

Solid take. 5-7% drop. as a buyer, i spoke to two agents, one said prices only go up, other said prices might drop a tiny bit or stabilize. Obviously I am going to deal w/ the latter agent. I dont need none of that marketing of the first one.

So you think a $1M home will drop by 50k or so and people will start buying again?
It's not the drop in the price that'll bring buyers back into the fold. It'll be the drop in interest rates. I honestly believe that even if prices stayed the same as right now, but rates dropped back into the mid-high 5%s, the market would pick right back up without missing a beat.
The 50k drop will only happen if rates stay high; and that will largely be due to sellers waking up and smelling the coffee as their house sits on the MLS. and buyers still wont buy en masse.
@@grownupgaming correct. The prices decline because the buyers are sitting it out while the rates stat above 7%.
