Released From Prison, Don't Use Drugs!
When men and women are released from prison, they are met with a ton of different of emotions. It's an overwhelming amount of anxiety for many as they try to navigate through their freedom. Morning Glory Ministries (www.morningglorycares.com) offers Emergency Assistance help in downtown Kansas City to the poor, needy, and homeless.
They recognize that simple necessities like food, clothing, toiletries, and IDs are immediately needed by people who are just released from prison. Just meeting with these individuals and answering their questions and getting them on a path of success is what will keep many from using drugs. When you're overcome with emotions and begin to feel anxious and alone, the very drug that may have put you in prison, begins to look rather tempting as a temporary relief.

I remember my husband and I were homeless, sleeping on the streets, and we slept in front of a church on a walkway that ran around the front of the church against the wall. I woke up and had to pee really bad, so I went in the bushes (it was early in the morning and still dark, I didn't think anyone would be up in the townhomes across the street. But somebody was, obviously saw me and called, because not too long after, a couple of cops stopped by and talked with us. They were very nice, didn't fine or arrest us or anything, but they said somebody called and complained about someone "exposing themselves". Soon after, we noticed that the lights on that front walkway were on constantly - and bright! Another church allowed us to stay in a trailer in their parking lot. One day, we went to a friend's house to do laundry and watch anime. He drove us back to the trailer and we dropped off our stuff and then went to McDonald's for a bite. When we walked back to the church, we saw that the trailer that had our stuff in it, including our fresh laundry, was GONE! Someone had swiped the whole trailer. All of our stuff was gone! Yeah, fortunately, they had a second trailer that they did let us stay in, but they didn't help us get new clothes, or invite us in to a service on Sunday. Eventually, the people who ran that little ministry packed it up and moved away. Fortunately, we were able to go to a motel. And to be fair, church people have helped us, which is good, but like you said, too many have forgotten about our duty to care for the poor. It's sad, but true!

These people are utterly bizarre. They're their to say you're doomed & must repent. But then refuse to talk about salvation at length. Then they say God hates you anyway & only a few elected people are saved, rendering it ultimately pointless in most instances. They make some of the same points atheists do in referring to God's evil nature, just that they side with the dick.
