I like how the animatics make Nicki burning the tree feel less random, and add more depth to it. Like this one, it implies she burned it out of despair over L'manburg. While another one, aptly named It was never meant to be, implies that she was an infiltrator, sent by The trio, that began to care about the people she was fooling, and when they betrayed her, she destroyed it in retaliation.
