We're building a TIME ATTACK LOTUS to win Super Lap Battle 2025 at COTA! Our friends Black Flag Sarcoma Racing have brought us on to build Lotus with the goal of winning limited class next March at Circuit of the Americas.
In this series, we'll take you through every step of the build process, from initial teardown to the final shakedown laps. Kevin ECR not getting the overall lap record

Rough weekend, I flat spotted a tire bad on Friday and didnt pit, so I shook the snot out of the car and broke the header and starter. Threw away a few 54s on Saturday when the header didnt make it through my fast laps, and then just couldn't do it on Sunday due to lots of traffic starting lap 3. This lap could have been a 55.0 with the pass still, but lockup at 15 was .8 on the dash predictive :(

It is and my personal car is more centered, but the intent for this car is for charity awareness so we want to be able to carry passengers

This is how truly great businessmen start their business. It's almost accidental. They're just so good at what they do it's hard for people not to come to them for it. I knew an old guy that "retired" to new south wales from western Australia and he had such a good reputation that he ended up opening a shop in nsw because so many people wanted him to work on their cars. Fantastic bloke. Best mechanic I've ever known. You could tell him the model and year of car you had and he'd tell you what was wrong with it even if you didn't know there was anything wrong. He literally told me that my holden astra was having computer problems because of the coils I had replaced and he'd never even seen the car. He was a wizard in my eyes.

I dream of this. Just isnt feasible this day and age. 35 an hour, everything goes to rent, gas and food. I could save 30 bucks a month; cant build a car on that.
I started my career moving to where cost of living to salary ratio was much better then in my home of Toronto
