Tamagotchi V4 - Special Character Oyajitchi
*unsightly cut on finger* Tamagotchis always manage to surprise me. The baby evolves straight into an adult Oyajitchi - forgot to show it, but all 5 games are instantly unlocked too. There's no preschool or school, and job offers + matchmaker become available when Oyajitchi is 1 or 2 years old.

Hanging out in the Patchi forest with Onsen Moguratchi, the Kutchi family pet mole - I think these are all the animations. On a side note, it is possible to get the 1000 point gift more than once. It's a really nice way to earn points when you get your first adult!

You can timeout a V4 when it gives a dud gift instead of an item that has been wrapped. Apparently you can increase the training of adults & oldies this way too!

they use infrared to communicate, so my guess would be that the light bounces off the table and the sensor picks that up.

Yeah. It’s only possible if you have a tamagotchi connection (from 2004) and must have versions v1, v2, v3, v4/4.5. The two versions can be different eg. V3 with a v2, v4 with a v1 etc. however, two tamagotchis must be a oldie, one of them must be a grandma and the other must be a grandpa. If you have met the requirements needed, you’re good to go for them to marry each other. The baby result will ALWAYS be a boy and NEVER a girl.

Unfortunately, the connections go for closer to $200... Usually no lower than $150 for a new one in its package (which is what I would ALWAYS recommend when purchasing any kind of virtual pet). I just recently purchased a few Connections, two V4s, a V 4.5, and the cheapest I could find, new and in its original packaging was $149 on Ebay. I'd also suggest the website Mercari. There you can purchase the original Tamagotchis for only $20! Granted, they're the Originals, so they don't have any connection capabilities, and they also lack a lot of features the Connections have. However, they're still official Tamagotchi products and are quite fun. So if you're looking for one, I'd suggest looking through what Mercari has to offer. If you can't find anything there (or have your heart set on getting a connection) just look through ebay until you find a good deal! Again, if you heed any of the advice I've given here, ALWAYS BUY NEW. Never ever purchase a used or previously opened Tamagotchi, no matter what the seller says about its condition. The reason I say this is because you truly never know what kind of internal damage the devices have and you certainly do not want to be opening up all of your devices to check for internal malfunctions or damage (UNLESS you actually know what you're doing and there's no likelihood of damaging it). But yeah. Sorry for the wall of text, but I hope you or others find some useful tips and info in here! Have a good one and happy Tama hunting!
Hi, kind of a dumb question but is the one on the left an Entama (it has the shell and beads of one) or has a v4 been put into it? And if it is an Entama how’d you get a v4.5 and Entama to connect? Asking because I have both and can’t seem to connect them :(
It's a V4. A number of asia pacific V4 shell designs are the same as entama designs. V4 and entama guts do not fit in each others' shells unfortunately. And they definitely do not connect :)

You need a friends or another tamagotchi connection to marry yours when they are both old.
Oldies (where two adults of the opposite gender have evolved) then they marry and get a baby each. Then 24 hours later, they leave then the baby boy will hatch when they wake up. An hour later, the boys will evolve into the "secret character" oyajitchi

Oldies can live for a very long time. They do get needy as time goes on, however. The age counter only goes to 99, so after that you need to keep a written log of how long they are living.
