How do you know to fold the top and bottom corners back vs cutting them? I'm am totally new to this and scared to try for fear of not understanding the combination fold and cut. When and where to fold and when or where to cut.

I've not seen anyone cut the corners. Just fold the corners. They create the tapered edge across the top othe the book. If you cut them off the pages next to them will lean into the void you create.

Thank you for your thorough description of precisely how to work. Especially thanks for the tips on the incra ruler. The top bar is sooooo heavy…I find it makes it cumbersome to use. Take care. Loved the pix at the end as well. So beautiful. ☺️

You might be able to use eye shadows in place of the expensive micas. You can get them at dollar tree for like, um a dollar. Eye shadow has mica in it and I use it in crafting in place of mica frequently. Just a thought.
