That brings back some memories as well as some juicy feelings.
Just 1 question, how come these guys don't overheat w/all those ponies just sitting there guessing it up !
Most of these engines will run for three to five minutes with no problem. As they are not loaded, they build heat slowly.
The transition to nitro is always breathtaking!

Ii watched the Dos Palmos dragster at Santa pod when Wild Bill Wiechelt drove it don't know how he found it and believe when his tour of duty finished he took it back to the states.Commuter is still here think that was Mickey Thompsons.

That's a really cool video. Wondered what happened to this car. Now I know. Saw this car race at the 1979 NHRA Summernationals in Englishtown, NJ, USA in July. I remember vividly that Bob only had one crew guy and the two of them did everything. Bob went out in the first round.
