Random bits of videos from trips and such acquired over several years of awesome adventures in Alaska. Some videos are lower quality, but back in the day we weren’t too great about videoing as much. And I felt they were still worth including for memories sake. Beats by beanzz_beatzz

Huge thanks to Matt and Berk with @OffTheRanch for everything they did to make this awesome beast of a truck! And big thanks to Josh and Alex with @DaysofPainandVictory for being a lifesaver mid road trip, and unknowingly volunteering enormous amounts of time before finally driving the Bronco from Spokane, WA to Alaska themselves. Bronco still alive?
Still alive! Life should be settling down here in the next month or two and I’ll get another Bronco video out there. I’ve been daily driving it while doing some repairs on my truck.
@@VoslickZ love to hear that. Cant wait to see that video. Glad yall are well also.
I wonder if you can do this in a innertube? This would be so much fun.
I’m honestly not sure what they allow, but I agree it would be pretty sweet. Probably wouldn’t stay in the tube very long…
Looks great, hoping you tow it with the Bronco.
That’s the plan. The two should be a sweet combo!
Did you use Herculiner on the outside?
I used Raptor liner. No preference on it vs Herculiner other than it was easier to source locally. Mainly just wanted something to protect the trailer when I drag the trailer through a bunch of alders.
@@VoslickZI used Herculiner on some bumpers I built, found out it faded rather quick. So while it was still tacky I painted it with a black rattle can and seems to not fade.
I’ll have to keep that in mind if I have issues with fading. I’ll be curious how abrasion resistant the coating is, but I imagine over time I’ll need an additional coat to keep up with the wear from branches dragging down the side.
strong work
Thanks for posting.
this might be such a silly question, but did you need to fly in to access this hut? or could you have toured in?
It’s a 20 mile one way tour. So yes very possible, but more of a slog than we wanted if you’re hauling in multiple days of food/supplies. And even more so a function of time as well to take advantage of the conditions. If you have 5 days off with a good weather window, it’s not ideal to spend two of them getting in and out.
What gears are you running?
Final drive is 3.73. It cruises about 2200rpm on the highway. I think it would be better off with a set of 4.10s
@@VoslickZ thank you
As a mechanic, there is nothing worse than fixing my own vehicle (or somebody else's) and not knowing exactly WHAT i did to fix it. Then the anxiety sets in and I wonder when it is going to happen again LOL...
Definitely an uneasy feeling
T-Crates are sleepers.
Great vid 🔥
Put liquid soap in your toilet. It will welp the seal stay air proof. Edit: After you flush with no water.
That would’ve been a simple fix! Will definitely keep that in mind if we ever end up in a similar situation.
Always something
Seems to be my luck anytime I try and make a trip from between Alaska and the lower 48 lately.
Sight to see wow!
who did you fly in with? majestic? what did it cost? i’ve been wanting to get up in that area.
Reach out to Sheep Mountain Lodge. He has a R44 and can get people in. The crew we flew in with doesn’t generally take people to the hut
@@VoslickZ good to know, thanks
What is ticking
It was an exhaust leak. But it’s since been fixed
Hello friend, I own a Bronco, I want to put an instrument panel the same as yours, could you tell me what brand it is? Thank you so much
They are from New Vintage USA. I definitely recommend them!
gorgeous views, so fun
Stay focused, respond to the positive comments on your channel. It is very hard for us to get notified of what you are doing due to the algorithm, keep grinding. Nice job today. Stay focused you are sharing a part of America most kids will never see. When they see it they will say I want to go do that.
I appreciate it! Wished I would’ve realized the camera angle was poor for more than half the day or the footage would’ve been better, but at the end of the day I enjoy documenting these trips. Many of the details get lost with our busy lives as time elapses, and this way it’ll be fun to show our kids in a few years.
Good to have a Jeff along for the ride for the mechanical failures.
Handy friend to have!
That looked like fun but I'm glad I was watching and not doing it ! 😂
Are the people climbing those giant ice sickles the same kids that were not allowed to climb the trees in their backyard because their mothers thought it was too dangerous ? 🤔😉😂 It does look a little scary though !
Wow! Very cool, your brother definitely would be so proud! Keep your dream going brother. Coming from the Demolita!
Thanks!
Got the power the suspension and the axles now ya need some lockers and that thing will be unstoppable
It’s happening for sure! Just trying to figure out if I want to go ARB lockers or a different direction
Such a beautiful place. Need to get some lockers for that bronco. saw you doing a little one wheel pell when you’re trying to get out of that ice.
Need lockers, front and rear bumper with tire mount, winch… and the list goes on haha! Lockers would make the Bronco much more capable!
Good video and trail repair
Glad it ended up being simple
I've only ever flown to that glacier, pretty cool to be able to drive right to it.
Good video…more more more 😊
the bronco fits right in around there
Beautiful and awesome video bro...
Cool Bronco. BERG. Thanks for vid.
Great to see the Bronco out and about. Matt's new one is broken after 500 odd miles lol. Excellent way to honor a friend in an amazing landscape
And people thought the Bronco would never make it to Alaska ! 👍
Glad the bronco is getting used, Matt has to many vehicles to give it the attention it needs.
That looks like a lot of fun. No ski lift, no problem. Just get towed behind the snowmobile. 👍
Congratulations Dad !
Multiple squirrels came down the chimney at my aunt's house in the desert. Little charcoal footprints all over. Draperies chewed to pieces in several rooms. And they got into everything that even smelled like food. 😤🐿️😤
Glad I didn’t have to fuss with the charcoal getting spread everywhere! I definitely learned my lesson about taking the extra five seconds to close the vent! Would’ve saved hours of cleaning and hassle
The squirrels not dead, he's just restin'.
Seems like a pretty big trek for some very mellow terrain. More fun than it looks i presume? Couli looked fun, but needed to be actually ski’d lol, whoever was on it was treating it like it was vertical
There was a weak layer on several aspects and we spotted numerous large avalanches on the way in. Mellow terrain was intentional.
Damn, that's a lot of snow. Can't wait for it to warm up so you can take the bronco all the way up there.
Didn't know Majestic did bumps...looks like a decent trip!
Great video. Keep them coming.
What a cool journey! I love that the Bronco is "home."
Beautiful Content.🏔 It amazes me how a guy from south TX ends up in the frozen wilderness of AK 😁 This old guy that grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where it CAN be as cold or colder than AK wants to move to South Texas. I'm tired of being cold. I remember days at O'Hare IAP working on the ramp where it was -26 ambient temp. Your footage and those memories were enough to give me a chill 🥶
I get posed that question quite a bit, but I’m not sure I could imagine living anywhere else. Chicago is colder than us quite often! We just deal with the decreased daylight and overall longer winter. Hope the winds weren’t much on your -26° day; that’ll turn cold into misery real quick.
Your Content is phenomenal. I love your channel. Keep it ❤coming, loving it.
Glad you enjoy it!
Bronco power 💪🇺🇸
really enjoyed this video, glad I found your channel
Glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to more big ski trips soon.
Ahh the newer off roaders always puts a smile on my face
Nice to see that the Bronco made it to it's new home.
Right on! Bronco looks right at home in the snow! Thanks for letting us be part of the adventure, we had a blast driving it up. Definitely gonna have to make another trip to Alaska, it’s beautiful up there!
