You are right. I used the bolts from the 350/headers. They are much shorter than the stock exhaust bolts.

@JohnHasABug yes sir, u need the longer manifold bolts. FYI a factory 305 head will not accept any other sbc exhaust manifold has a different bolt pattern an exhaust port placement.

Don't be afraid to add a 1/2 of a qt extra on top of recommended fluid capacity. Been doing it for over 30 years and everyone who has taken my advice has had longer lasting bearings and seals.

Make sure the old o ring is out? You don’t want two. If that’s not your problem then it might be you just need to be clean it a bit more. There isn’t much of a lip for it to sit on. Good luck!

@@JohnHasABug thank you, I'm trying to figure out the order basically of the washer and spacer on the bolt. I worked on it so long today but my brain isn't working i guess.

When I look at mine. It’s a cap then the bolt then the metal bracket then plastic cover then a plastic pipe then it goes into the side panel. Good luck!

@@JohnHasABug awesome thank you! that’s what i was thinking to do as well too but couldn’t/ can’t find screws long and skinny enough to fit to hold it together. Any suggestions by any chance?

@@_dessing_4970 I forget what I did back there. It’s very tight you might be able to just place it in since it’s molded and it might stay. I get most of my hardware are Ace hardware. Not sure if you have one of those. If I remember right stock the screws come from the front and with the kit they have to come from the back of the controls. I hope that helps. Kinda hard to explain.

Thankfully my clips are ok. I’ve been replacing a lot of plastic with aftermarket aluminum parts.

I’m pretty sure I did when I installed it. Sadly it’s been awhile. I did some troubleshooting and couldn’t figure it out. Then sadly the camera broke off. So it’s not going to be fixed anytime soon. Thanks for the comment. Hopefully it will help someone else out.

Apart from connecting to the "back" or "reverse" signal wire on the back of the head unit, you should also connect the signal wire on the RCA cable at the back to the reverse light power.

Yep. I finally have heat. I also think the cooling is better. Seems like it runs better too.

It came with the dash kit I bought.

Most of my suspension and brakes came from rock auto. Compressor I paid a dealer to do and that was a disaster. Good luck!

I was definitely scared. But it worked for me. Now I use this gray grease stuff when installing the wheels. It’s been a lot better.

@@JohnHasABug I've had to do the same with my 2001 Dodge Dakota. I suppose I should get some of the Grey grease.

I’m sure it interferes with the airbag. He had a welder do it custom I believe. If I see him again I’ll try and ask. If I remember right he was mostly worried about hitting deer. I chased him down one day and asked to get some videos and photos. Nice guy. Sorry I don’t have more to go on.

@@JohnHasABug Thank you. My 2013 convertable Deisel Bug was taken out when I hit a coyote at 68 mph. The interior of the intercooler was broken all to hell and was ingested by the engine destroying it. A coyote for Pete's sake.

The vents had screws and I think also a cover piece that went around them. The hazard pieces I super glued. I hope that helps.

@@JohnHasABug thanks, my kit doesn't have the rings to help secure the vents, I have no clue what to do.

@@kencheungsk does it have a place to screw to? Might be able to use washers to help attach it. The top of mine I used a pop can I cut to help divert air better. I used real ducting tape for that. Worked great. Maybe you could make something similar. Good luck!

They do sell just the dash piece. If I was to do it over I would also move the hazard up and not use the cover as I hate looking at it between the vents.

Got them off eBay. I think the US market had the orange the rest of the world clear. But they are hard to find and pricey! Good luck!

A little of both. Mostly to make sure stuff on the trailer is fine since I can't see that or the trailer.

I think that will depend on the year beetle you have. The engine and transmission combo. Then what kind of hitch you installed. I’ve seen people pull campers with beetles. I would be scared of the braking power more than if the beetle could pull it. Look on your door tag for ratings. Also the hitch should have info too. I hope this helps.

​@@JohnHasABug Not so much. In plan lift a bit beetle and repair roof headliner (since it are in bad shape from previos owner). Have some thougts about rear camera too but didn't figure for mysef where to place monitor. Wish you luck with that case and waiting new video about rear camera!)
