You know, they actually make fans that don't have exposed blades...in fact, this is the first time I've ever seen one that does..
I sure do, this fan like i said in the video is from an old evga gpu and that you dont need one like this, i am currently designing a full body shroud for the monitor that has a dust filter built in and a intake for the fan of course.
By "air cooling" do you mean a conventional 6 heatpipe tower or a proprietary server cooling solution with industrial fans?
Conventional 6 heat pipe tower style cooler, specifically the Thermaltake peerless assassin 120 SE, cpu was at 4.6 all core running 1.435volts ya its a lot of volts, not sure what the wattage was after the overclock as i need to get a wall meter for proper read.. but the cooler did a good job! The cooler says it can cool up to 200 Watts and i believe em!
Asustek P6x58d-e X58 is the motherboard I used
get an 7950X, i get 604FPS average on 1350x1080 with "-threads 8" launch option

crazy oc! I also need to get me some of them mystical Ram sticks!
Noice😊
Thank you!
Since core i7 980x until today, actually there is no new CPU anymore. Can't wait China RISCV to simply break current ZEN5
50 less fps with your settings 13600k and 1050ti
Might be the 1050ti, I do not have one to test on multiple cpus.. Thank you for the feed back! I will revisit once i get a 1050ti!
will the hard drives be mounted with vibration dampeners?
yes in short!!, Part 2 will be out soon... a lot has been changed from original plans! Doing some tests.. Its looking good.. even has a fan!
Yea that one is for sure quieter than the last one 😅
Something may be capping your fps, Idrk
That would be the processor, it is from 2010. Was proving a point on how 8x msaa doesn't affect even low end cpu's that much.. was about 1 frame difference even the lows
@@RealLuger well, MSAA uses graphics card power, and your 3070ti is a plane compared to xeox x5650 corolla, which doesnt make that much pre-rendered frames to be made for GPU. Thats why MSAA doesnt drop your frames. If you had high-end cpu (maybe like Ryzen 9 5950X) and gtx 1050ti, msaa would drop frames dramasctically
@@vexume I know lol it's a test and to show people with low cpu power that these settings in game look good and still give you good frames! People were saying these settings affect frames on lower tier cpu.. well I proved with a 14 year old cpu can play cs2 with msaa on high and still get the same amount of frames.
@@RealLuger well, if that was your point of the video, you're right but still I can't get it why you should play with msaa in competitive first-person-shooter :)
@@vexume better image quality without losing game performance aka your frames is always a bonus! What rank are you in cs2?
Channel deserves more views brother ngl keep it up
To kind man thank you!
Yo that's a crazy crazy oc. What are you doing with such an old cpu?
Its crazy its on air!! I use these CPUs in my server and also for Overclocking for HWbot.org.. I am a bit of a PC hardware collector/enthusiast lol
Would you prefer short vids like this or longer more in depth vids on the voltages and ram timings of choices.. also best this cpu and motherboard can do really for timings.. I can show bios but it would be a recording of the screen with a camera.. I don't like that tbh... But I can do it if needed to show what I do.. when I get a capture card things will be different! I wouldn't mind making more in depth videos as I would be able to talk along as I show everything step by step.. for now hope this suffices!
I use a 1070 from Gigabyte in my build. It's been almost 10 years since I built it, but it gets me through my CS2 matches. The worst framerates are on Ancient, when I go through the water filled tunnel from T-Spawn to B.
may I asked what cpu you are using with that 1070? Also I need to test this frame destroying spot you speak of in Ancient..
Kind of lame that there isn't any gameplay to back up your performance claims.
hoping in the near future here i can get a capture device so i can show footage of the pc builds i do. I will revisit in the future!
need to show some gameplay footage to break it up :)
ya my bad, i do not have a capture card yet. I will re visit in the future!
@@RealLuger can't you use fraps or obs. or you worried its going to take up too much cpu resources?
@@mcourt1358 with a system like this i used obs and i cant do audio cause its bad.. real bad.. and the frames go to 10-15 max in game sadly. most my vids i try to show in game while i recorded but it horrible and i didnt think people would want that. ive tried different obs settings and if i did a 2 pc system through obs network its not very nice either.. laggy. only way to get that good footage is to pay for good equipment unfortunately.
Nice oc👍
Thank you, this is just on air cooling so I am impressed!
Now do it with a 1080TI
I clicked on this video to see what bs it was this time and to my surprise nothing false or placebo was said, nice. Also, if all else fails, take off the side panel if your room isn't dusty, should make a difference unless you already have a case maxed out with fans. Also, avoid using "High Performance" in windows power management. Stick to balanced, there is a huge difference in terms of temperature even when not doing anything.
i7 4790 + 750ti still works well
love the combo!
Bro you're killin me using HWMonitor instead of HWInfo but is there a reason you aren't locking a v/f point on the curve by pressing 'L' to prevent the card from entering lower P-states? It'll still downclock as needed for thermals/power but will be much more consistent and you can see what it's hitting right there in Afterburner regardless of the load.
Sounds like you are a pro.. teach me your curve ways master knowitall.
Also wheres the downclock besides when i exit game or change it myself?? lol watch and you might learn something
Shunt modded the power limit.. its not software.. its hardware mod.. i can set power limit to 50 and it will still do max.. hence no power limit.. will go as high as i can get it stable and stay clocked that high.. if you watch my shunt mod video it will help you understand this isn't for beginner's that use a v/f curve... monitoring software is almost all the same still goes off of the thermal probs that the gpu manufacture's put in and are they any good?? not really the best no.. a thermal prob set near gpu die would be best to get thermals and again its not for beginner's as its hardware monitoring.. if you have questions please ask..
@@RealLugerYou've only eliminated power constraints as a variable but you're not running a static voltage so it's still relying on the v/f curve. It doesn't look like it's even hitting the stock 1.06V limit, let alone the 1.09V limit you'd have with the voltage slider at 100%. The curve editor isn't for 'beginners' it's the only way to ensure GPU Boost behaves without an XOC bios and additional mods. If the stock curve flatlines before 1.09V the card won't run those voltages regardless of your shunt mod. Temps drop clocks every 5-10C but until you hit the limiter, it should be able to hold a voltage. Locking a point is just ideal for benching because the clock is more stable between load states. As for HWMonitor, use whatever you want man but there's a reason hardly anyone on hwbot uses it. It doesn't display anywhere near the amount of info that HWInfo64 can and has had notorious sensor issues on certain hardware. Edit: I did briefly see hit 1.06V after you tabbed out.
ya voltage will only go as high as the gpu lets it based on temps, i can set the core voltage to +100 but then i have to worry about the extra power and with only a 120mm aio it cant do much.. with the shunt mod the core clock is more stable and it uses 1.05v not touching core volt and +100 it does 1.093 but the extra heat put it up to the thermal limit where it down clocks, setting the vf curve if you have better cooling might help but from my tests it doesn't do anything.. benchmarks it does crap in my opinion. just give it as much volts as it can handle and take away all power constraints aka the shunt mod.. and keep er to 32c for you beginners or -192.. if it can handle it..
its the wham that matters with cs2, game plays quite well on gtx 750ti and i5 3550
750ti still a beast!
I recommend you turn off anti-aliasing or use CMAA 2 since its very simmilar to MSAAx2. but it wont fuck up your FPS as much MSAAx2 Also you can set the textures on high it probably wont lower the fps if you have atleast 2gb of VRAM
czcams.com/video/6LevO7guZwg/video.html
8x msaa are u high
its best setting for 60fps.. not sure why i would want it to be lower if i can with the frames that my monitor can put out.. are you high?
@@RealLuger i would rather have the lower latency or up some of the other settings
@@sql64 Cant use the booster it tanks the frames no matter the settings, least it hit the lows to much to have a stable gameplay, will do a video about older hardware and settings you should use in game and out of game. also if you saw i was running 16x9.. because cpu was maxed setting this low did nothing.. its also known as a cpu bottleneck.
My eyes don't like the sun sorry for the face lmao
if you do wanna play 4k same cant be said but like you can in most scenarious overclock your monitor from 60 hertz to 75 and it will just feel basically 30% more responsive after and then still get good delay if you have up to 100 fps
18:09 they are called surface-mount device.
ya idk why i call em diodes lol
10:20 sure you can make a video on it if you can.😊
I have a palit 3070 gaming pro I want to copper mod it, what do you recommend?
you would need .5mm copper shims with .25mm thermal pads or you would need to get .75mm copper shims and sand them down a bit so you can add thermal paste in between the copper shims and memory chips and the cooler, i am not sure if there is a company that makes a 1 piece copper shim for your palit so copper shims would be the cheaper way.. does take time though
i like to directly contact the copper shims to each surface it touches with non conductive thermal paste for best thermal conductivity and a lil ease of mind, the shims I get off amazon are basically the perfect size for the gddr6 or gddr6x memory chips. only sanding is the thickness.
Use cmaa instead of msa and lower resolution
I can revisit this build in the future!
Man your team is awesome 👍👍👍.I was like you dont normally get that nice of a team lol.
Glad you think so! lmao
The best advice i can give to people without modifiying anything is just to set the max framerate to the monitor refresh rate or vsync/gsync, GPU will consume less power, also CPU and other components.
This. I'm so glad I have poor tastes, so I often limit my GPU to 30FPS because I'm perfectly happy with 30FPS. My monitor is only 1080p60Hz so I have no need for high end FPS; I set all the graphics settings to max but resolution and FPS I don't care about so long as it's smooth.
@@genericuser1454 ohhh i wish i could play even at 60 fps. after i got 155hz monitor i feel pain when i see lower than 100 fps
I hear ya there, switching to a higher refresh rate monitor can improve performance but also.. can your pc run it smoothly.. thats an issue with the newer fps games as most people want to play on high settings, i play up in the big leagues around the 20k premier and i dont even use high settings, its a custom low with high detail.. "fx fidelity diabled" .. so my lows will never go below my monitors refresh rate. That is key!
@@mountainheights418 thats not your fault, playing 60fps at 60hz is not the same as 60fps at 155hz, it literally shows you each frame more than 2 times making it feel even more stuttery. If you ever want to play a game at 60fps and it's not an fps game just set your refresh rate to 60.
@@q1337 I use my old 60hz monitor as second monitor and it looks so stuttery :D
Tempting me to mod my evga 1070
If you can keep it cool its worth it if you are looking for more stability or just overall more performance!
the ways of the youtube algorithm are not meant for humans to understand. How did I end up here?
sometimes people find a way.. i like to find ways..
It is testable in game? For see the performance after the mod

Just ditch that Intel junk.
Is there any friction that can come from moving between Intel and AMD? I know that Intel has some Intel specific tech that makes things a little bit more complicated. Is there anything I should know before I switch?
non unless you like amd's software and saving money amd is the way to go, if you know how to tune a pc intel is still the way to go, sad that the high end stuff requires an insane amount of money to cool though.. Amd or intel.. Again talking gaming pc... you wanna spend money on a workstation.. AMD might take the cake for this one for the crazy pricing..
Such a troll video. Total noob shit
