I was almost gonna beat myself down because of this video. I see a lot of artists in the comments doing so too. I've been drawing for a long time and I always felt like my art was fine, but it was never where I wanted it to be. So I see this and think "Oh God I'm hopeless, I'm never gonna learn or improve as quick" Just saying guys, you can always start now. I feel bad for the years I could've spent improving, but they aren't gonna come back, so you might as well start now. And this video is actually very very informative and helpful! Set goals, make sure you know the places in your art you want to improve. It'll take some more time, but now you know what to do :]

I am not good at drawing

I drew everyday for 17 years and practiced daily and i never improved. My art still looks like a 12 year olds drawing wtff

The 30 days progress is condensed and can be great to track down how much you can improve. The downside is. It’s 30 days of interruption. Life responsibilities. Setbacks and such. Take the challenge with a grain of salt but don’t expect 30 days to be the ultimate way to improve. Give it time and passion to the hobby and you will improve without noticing. Digital artist who moved to traditional art after 6 years.

I never use HB pencils or mechanical pencil refill.... it is way too hard... I like to use 2B, and I have a like a 4B, 6B and 8B as well... the bigger the number, the softer they are

I think beginner should learn form and shape in 3d spaces and light and shadow before anything, if u know these everything will come easier. Learn how to recognize shapes and simplify pieces kf body and object, not separate parts but as a whole .If i had done that since the beginning i would be better now

You probably already found out, but People like shading with ink pens. You also got to learn anatomy for the shading also. I dont know how to draw tho, just from videos I watch, thats what they say.

as of right now, I am drawing kpop groups in realism and I am STRUGGLING. My style is usually anime, so trying to draw realism from references is pure PAIN. I've done six members of SKZ, the order being Chan, Han, Jeongin, Minho, Felix, and Hyunjin. I have Seungmin and Changbin to do next. Any other kpop groups I should do?

Sorry for bursting your bubble but this is a load of shit. What you are doing is creating an unrealistic expectation for other people. Learning art is a life long process of pain and triumph, it's not some crafty little thing you can master in a month. People, do NOT listen to this broad or you will be very disappointed when the veil comes down hard on you. She either clearly knows more about art than she lets us on to think, or is INCREDIBLY lucky.

I’ve been drawing for almost 10 years, with little to no research in my first 5 years. I drew for fun and didn’t care how it looked. 4 years ago I started to become more interested and wanting to do something within it. (Honestly I went through a horrible time while I wanted to draw more seriously) I’m proud of where I am now but woah, your amazing at drawing and expanded your skills in just 30 days! Honestly I wish I could be at your level and I’m sure once I start to learn more anatomy (I am already starting and have tried before) but I’m not the best and especially with my style of drawing, I draw very sketchy and most of the time with pen that can’t be erased so i’m scared to even start the journey within anatomy. I think you improved so much within the 30 day challenge and you art looks amazing from start to end of this challenge. Good job!

It's just honestly so nice to see someone who is so unsure about their art, but still sharing their journey anyway. It is truly encouraging to those of us to fear opinions of others, yet we want to do the same. Its extremly uplifting and inspires me to try and keep going in my art journey. Thank you so much for sharing yours! P.S. The subtitles are ALWAYS great. Of course youtube as the option to have subtitles show up if the viewer wants them or not by pressing the CC button on the video. You should ALWAYS have subs on your videos in my opinion. For those who are hearing impared, its a huge thing that can make them feel involved in your community. Not only that but, I dunno about you? I ALWAYS have subs on whether its English or not (I only speak english). Reading subs helps me hear better xD
