Welcome to Fungi On The Fly!
Join me as we go fishing and foraging for mushrooms and trout in the backcountry of Washington. This lake must also have natural reproduction if you caught a male? I thought WDFW only planted triploid females to avoid natural reproduction? Great looking cutts though, I love our coastal cutthroat we have here.
@@Jeradjjames I don’t think these are triploids, but I can double check.
Camped way too close to lake edge by LNT standards. Doesn't look like an established site either, but trampling vegetation.
@@SuperDuper-dz9re it was definitely an already established camp spot well away from the lakes edge. Way to armchair quarter back bud!

Great video and the bread and trout looked delicious! When was your float? We floated from 5 miles up on the Danaher starting on July 6th through Meadow Creek takeout on July 13th. Water levels look real close to what they were when we were on it.

Helps to have a 'live and let live' philosophy when fly fishing because most people don't have the same respect for the experience of being in nature. However property damage and camping within arms reach of your site crosses a line. So happy you had a good time at the next lake, I've camped there several times and the extra 0.5mi is well worth it.

Tobi, basically your saying that someone moved your trout to a different location along the same log where originally placed? What was broken on your fly reel? Was the reel breakage from your error, or another human's carelessness? There is a sense of frustration, and disappointment in your voice, as you put situation into words. You were the bigger person. Having someone say "sorry you feel that way", is a condescending way of responding to a legitimate series of stepping over there bounds and into your space.

One of the weird things I've noticed with spring kings is that they can show up with REALLY young trees. Like, knee high maybe only a couple years old sapling grand firs.
