@@umbrellacorporationwuhanfa3731 Suppressed is so much fun. So ballanced!
@@umbrellacorporationwuhanfa3731 Do you have the Holosun on it? Any thoughts on suppressing it?
It looks as if my 20 inch SFAR was built properly. I have had zero issue with 150 to 168 grain. I primarily use 150 grain LE ammo.
@sgt.grinch3299 very nice! They are the best value on the market. Check out my video of my 20" shooting out to 800 yards. Pretty cool.
That’s a cool scope! Been thinking about trying out something like that. Those logs blowing apart were dang impressive. Awesome video brother!
@ChristianGrest thank you! The scope is a do all type scope. Very heavy but the night vision is what I got it for. Hope you are well brother!

Do you work in a climate controled office texting your buddies about fantasy football all day. I get that vibe.. great video thanks for the info.
@alstongreer Thanks. I do work indoors, but I'm not really into fantasy football. I text my buddy's about firearms 😁

What ammo were you using?
I was using the PSA AAC 168grain OTM. Can't beat it for $17 a box.
Isn’t this rifle a piece of junk?
@broscience5876 for the price, there isn't anything close to this. Lightest factory 308 for a G
@@publicdefender77 how about the POF Rogue .308 13.75? Much better option. Yep, it’s more but much better quality.
@broscience5876 yea The POF Rogue is an awesome choice. That's not in the budget category though. I got a 16" and 20" SFAR for approximately the same price
ch does that "scope" sell for ? I think you got ripped off with all the features you name off...groups should be 3 inches or less
@jasonsecaur7019 it sells for $700. The main feature is night vision. Long distance accuracy is hard to obtain from a video camera. Good old fashioned glass will win every time for accuracy.
Thank you. I have been testing & chronographing a # of factory and handloads out of my 16" along side my 26" 700 VSSF. My SFAR does not like pressure at all. It damages brass quite a bit on near max handloads and Hornady Superformance ammo. I had my first actual malfunction with a near max 150 load using BL(C)-2. A failure to extract. I had a stuck case and had to run a cleaning rod down barrel to remove it. If I back off 1.0-1.5 grains it runs fine and accuracy doesn't really suffer. I am overall very pleased with it. I just need to realize the limits.
I feel in stock form this rifle runs low cost ammo very well. Expensive match ammo does not seem to show any improvements for me.
ah yea the frustration of group testing with these rifles. I need to try that Hornady again in mine and see if it's improved with the barrel swap. I suspect it has based off my last round of accuracy testing. Sucks the can loosened up, but it can happen! Thanks for sharing your results brother! Hope you have a great weekend.
I like the first two groups with your 165 grain and 168 grain. Good ole Winchester white box seems to be ok for me in the 16” SFAR. Glad you didn’t have a baffle strike on your can when it loosened up! Small tip: I use teflon tape on the threaded barrel when direct threading my Rugged Radiant 762 onto the SFAR. I learned that lesson with the Rugged Obsidian 9 on a PSA AK-V. Dang thing loosened up and BAM - baffle strike. Rugged replaced it even though it was my mistake not checking it. I faithfully use teflon tape and check to make sure the can is on tight after every mag (or two)! We have some very similar tastes in our choice of weapons!
@Support2A Great suggestion. tape the threads, just like in a plumbing application..? I'm going to do that. I picked up the Obsidian 45 and I have noticed it tends to loosen after 50 or so rounds. Hope all has been well with you buddy!
@@publicdefender77 yep! Rugged has a vid on their channel about walk off. YT keeps deleting my responses, so maybe this one makes it!
@@Support2A with your baffle strike, did the can grenade? Or was it minor?
@@publicdefender77 Thankfully, the only damage was to the end cap. A simple fix!
hello, great video and very informative. Have you had luck with any other subsonic ammo? My gun will not cycle that brand either. although mine is brand new and not broken in.
@@tyflores2120 Thank you! No luck with Subsonic. They just don't have enough juice to cycle. They would be great in a bolt gun.
How can i know it's Gen 1 or Gen 2? I just bought my Ruger Sfar last month, i run to setting 3, but it's like under gas
@user-fn8yg4sn7j first of all if you call ruger they will let you know based on your serial number but... setting 2 is the only setting that they made changes on. Under gassed on setting 3 us something I haven't heard before. What ammo are you running?
@publicdefender77 Sorry, I mean the block gass setting on number 3, and I use it with HMS low recoil 150g (2340fps). Thank you
Sweet!
I love it!
Beautiful. Nothing like it. We just need more season like 2020
@ADDvanced Yea, any season's besides last. With all this moisture in the air, hopefully that will translate into a decent winter for us!

@@jeffmckenzie9440 awesome!! Always a good day slinging lead
Nice little fishing motor. That should push that boat past 30mph!
I can't wait to get it on the water!
It's unfair to remove "flyers" from accuracy groups, unless it is actually a bad shot since we're not testing the shooter. Removing flyers, as is common, is an admission that the ammo is inconsistent but occasionally a couple of rounds land close together.
That is a fair statement.
Perfect holster , thumb brake pancake CANT'ed is the best level ll owb but conseals very good. King Cobra 3" or 2.5" full grip great revolver . Wish they were Blue/BLK finish, w/ checkered walnut grips
@@TheLoneRanger745 That would be awesome. They should put out a "retro" version that's blued with wood grips.
Great video with useful info. I’m just not sold on how this 16 inch AR-10 complements my 16 inch AR-15. I don’t necessarily want 308 just for the overmatch
@toniwilson6210 I had a built DPMS AR 10 16" but fell in love with the lightness of this thing and had to have it (the 16"). Needles to say after shooting the 16" for 500+ rounds, the dpms was traded in on the 20" sfar version. The weight difference makes it so much more fun to shoot. Also the stock brake has both of these producing less recoil that the old AR 10 platforms with no brake. Here is my playlist with both of them starting at brand new. czcams.com/play/PL3jSjc0gMIZ8VsJvWiOasAb1tKDmx8iiQ.html&si=JnG-_2FBE9R9yQ6_

We still didn't learn which one is the best 😢😮
@@2GUNZ99 I guess it depends on what you will be setting it up for. I purchased the 16" first, so if you were only going to get one, I would recommend the 16". @publicdefender77 ok perfect i was hoping that ! I was looking for a video that would shine light, on which if you only had to choose 1. 16 for the chosen ✨️
🤣😂🇺🇸
Thanks for the video. I have the 20inch version and for me is totally imposible to get the regulator out (of course I lined the flat part part with numbers up). Any tips what to do, beside take of handguard and smas it with bras hammer?
@janvavra1333 Before making the video I tried to take it out and it seemed impossible. I was stuck in. I ended up using a needle nose plyers to pull it out once it was lined up. Good luck with yours. It will come out. Talk dirty to it 😁
@@publicdefender77 ok, I will give it a try. I did cca 700 rounds supressed with it without cleanening (except the barrel, this I clean every 100 or so). Funny enough, for me original gasblock is no issue, I run everything on position one and use fast powdrts with light monoliths and all good...
@janvavra1333 setting 1 runs great suppressed. Only setting 2 has a slightly larger poet on the version 2 of gas regulator.
My uncle had (well he is dead now) so its my cousins, anyhow.... It was his "poaching" gun.(Back in the 60s, hell, probably back to the 30s)! Big enough to take deer, not a lot of noise ...

You will love it! You will be asking yourself why you didn't get one years ago.
Yea, such a simple peace. You will love it.
Were using the factory choke to shoot those Steel & Slugs load ?
Yes, factory choke but I never shot and steel out of it. It was all lead.
Nice
Glad you liked it. I feel like the video didn't do it justice. The sound alone in person was amazing.
I own the KC 2 inch barrel and also the KC Target 4 inch version. Both are great revolvers with smooth action and consistent accuracy.
I would also like the 4". Very nice. How does the recoil compare?
@@publicdefender77 difference in recoil is felt but minimal. I believe it’s because of the stock trigger (a really good stock trigger) which makes trigger pull in balance with the anticipation of the recoil. That is my observation of course.
@@carlosaquiles99 I would agree with that. Both the single and double action are very smooth.
Have you not cleaned it at all? I'm getting ready to buy one and the jams is not helping my feelings. What number gas setting did you have it set on?
Setting 1 and it was SO dirty. Running suppressed requires very frequent cleaning. I cleaned it and it is running like a top. Check out my latest video with it running an ammo test. czcams.com/video/yTpMN2wgCCo/video.htmlsi=i_cz5hS15Qeh0Af5

Break in like ruger says. They say setting 3 for a reason.
Yep. I have videos of them from break in all the way past 1000 rounds. Spent over 300 rounds on setting 3 on both rifles. Setting 3 is also ideal for low power 308 and most 7.62. Here is the playlist below. Runs great. This particular video is an ammo and temp exception. Also had the gen 1 gas regulator. czcams.com/play/PL3jSjc0gMIZ8VsJvWiOasAb1tKDmx8iiQ.html&si=c6AelrtmH43M_cSx
If they know the problem why do they expect the buyer to fix it hey ruger when you get it fixed I'll buy one
All the new ones sold after 8/23 should have the updated regulator.
@publicdefender77 So the problem is fixed I’m assuming? I’ve held off on purchasing this rifle because of the known issue.
@lilbfrom094princeton8 I now run suppressed which has been much better. This gun has been performing great. Just need to clean it more while running suppressed. czcams.com/play/PL3jSjc0gMIZ8VsJvWiOasAb1tKDmx8iiQ.html&si=2LqoVL1ocMS_EKw5
What would you recommend on ammo out the box the 308 or 762 ? Thank you sir
czcams.com/video/yTpMN2wgCCo/video.htmlsi=sR0ny48Te7w0AiFD I really like these Rifleline 165.
So if I buy the model with the CT installed, would I still need to bore sight? Or do they do that in the factory?
They do not bore sight it. Only install it, so yes I recommend bore sighting it.
Great video. I asked my LGS to order one for me a couple weeks ago. He said it could be 3-6 months. I'm pretty excited.
Congratulations! This snubby is a must have. So many different rounds you can fire from it, from 45s to 400 grain 454s. I hope to have mine out again soon.
