Hi everyone, a story I would like share about Cormac, it also involves Paddy and Kathleen I was over there for summer holidays and having a great time as always. Cormac and I would always spend a fair bit of time on loch ban lake fishing for Pike. This particular year I may have been 14 years old or there about, we had brought the row boat out on the lake a few times, but always staying close to shore. On this evening we decided to venture right across the lake to the otherside, all of a sudden we realised it was starting to get dark so we started to make our way back , by the time we were half way it was pitch dark and we could see a light moving left and right along the shore. We kept moving closer to the light, as we got closer we could here the profanities F this and F that, it was uncle Paddy and boy he wasn’t happy, myself and Cormac at one stage contemplated staying on the lake over night but decided that would probably be not the best outcome and decided we should go and face the music or our maker. Let’s say when we got to shore it wasn’t the warmest welcome, but not as bad as we had both anticipated. The next morning when we woke we discussed how I would probably get sent home and Cormac would be grounded for the remainder of the holidays, but to our surprise auntie Kathleen had our jam and toast ready for breakfast, and Paddy explained how lucky we were that it could have ended badly, but we were both safe and that was all that matters. This has always been 1 of many fond memories I have of spending time with you Cormac, I’m sad we never got to meet up in the last few years, but I feel happy that you are in heaven now with your Mum and Dad and all the rest of the gang/realatives. I’ll See you sometime in the future I’m sure and we will have some great laughs , lots of love your cousin Thomas.
