It was a delight! I loved the personal chats from the fair's yearly audience members. Hope to get there again 2021.
We enjoy with bittersweet appreciation. I got a kick out of Kevin Burke donning his Fiddle Fair hat. I lost my hat last year just before the fiddle harbor ride. Thankfully I found it after scurrying to retrace my steps. I'd love one in blue. Maybe next year.

It's Kevin Crawford. Contrary to popular belief, he's there to tell jokes. But when he does play - oh man... there's flute playing, and then there's what he does.

Extraordinary fiddle playing. Have to say that the guitar backing sounded out of place to my ears.
I'd say John Doyle's backup is a brand of oblique harmonies and rhytms, be assured he knows what he is doing. These guys (all three) are among the best in the world.

OK, so if you want to know what I particularly like about this mob, it's the fact that they don't feel the need to augment their sound with the ubiquitous acoustic guitar and keyboards. Just saying; wouldn't want to get into a blazin' argument with anyone about it.
