What are you guys doing about clean energy & water sewage solutions making sure that the human waste is 100% clean that gets pumped out to the sea. We all know that Manx Utilities have been trying to get clean energy and you guys always delay it and when you guys switch government you always put the blame on Manx Utilities. Hi There, I have been following your channel very well. Your channel video topic and quality are very good. You can take your channel even farther if you want. But there are some important issues in your channel which will not grow your channel easily if not solved and your channel seo (search engine optimization) score is absolutely zero. This is why your CZcams growth is very low. If you can solve these problems, your channel will grow quickly. Subscriber, comments, Views, like is very low according to your channel age comments, Views, like are also low according to your subscribers because channel setting problem and video seo problems. If these two problems were not present in your channel today, you would have got many times better result. I am a professional CZcams expert.

16:48 The mentioned replacement antenna was not a dipole, but instead a T-antenna, vertically polarised (thanks to its vertical-wire section), with its top horizontal section helping to "make the vertical section think it was taller than it really was", as was needed to match it efficiently to the transmitter.

Interesting interview, but I don’t think Henry’s recollection was entirely accurate. I was one of four 19 year old lads who were given 9 strokes of the birch for getting into a fight on Douglas promenade. All four of us received the full 9 strokes, and I was told it was very rare for the doctor to halt proceedings before the full punishment had been given. It was certainly very painful, and I could not sit down for several hours. However, the humiliation was far worse. Being forced to bend over, have my trousers and pants pulled down and my bare buttocks exposed to several total strangers was very traumatic. This was made worse by having details published in several newspapers. I felt that I had been put on public display. I think the worst part was when I was bending over, waiting for the strokes to be delivered.

Hello there. I totally agree with you that the use of the birch should have been retained, which might come as a surprise as I was on the receiving end. I fully accept I did wrong and deserved my punishment. The only thing I will say is that I was rather unfortunate. At the trial, it was made clear I was not responsible for inflicting the most serious injuries. In addition, it was not mentioned that the person whose jaw was broken started the fight by punching one of us and breaking his nose. I gave a short interview to the Scottish Daily Record, expressing my remorse, apologising for the distress I had caused, and even even stating that I believed the Birch was an effective deterrent, and should be used in the UK. This was never mentioned In the report, leading to comments that I was a whiner who felt I did not deserve my punishment. That was not true, as I was careful not to complain they my punishment was unjustified. I would take issue with a couple of Henry’s comments. It was rare, if not unknown for the Birching to be stopped before the total number of strokes had been administered. Occasionally the number of strokes would be reduced following a medical examination. In addition, Henry said canings were more painful than than birchings. Having experienced both, I can assure him birchings are much more painful! I wonder whether it was Henry who had applied the birch to my naked bottom. The procedure was the person who did the birching would enter the room until the offender had been undressed, bent over and held down. He would then leave the room immediately after the birching had been completed. This was supposed to ensure the offender would not be able to identify the person who had applied the strokes.

@@user-rx6el6hp3h Many thanks for your response and time. I was in my teens during the 1970s and I read the press coverage with avid interest and a burning desire for the retention of birching. The role of the JPs was interesting since it was a JP Bill Quayle who had steered the widening of the birching age up to 21 and with the introduction of the hazel rod comprising 4-5 40" fairly stout branches - attributed to PC Corlett. Can you remember which JP/JPs dealt with your case. Did you keep in touch with the others who were birched? The procedural aspects are interesting: What was the first, second and third strokes like? Did you see the birch rod used? The Officers would have worn the older style uniform.

@@user-rx6el6hp3h Many thanks for your time and effort and reply. I was born in 59 and followed the press coverage with avid interest during the mid 1970s. The whole procedural aspects from Court appearance before JPs and the lead up to the administration by uniformed officers is absorbing.

Hello there. You said you were born in 1959, therefore I assume you followed the background to the decision by the European Court of Human Rights to outlaw birching in the I of M, in 1978. Before that, I don’t think many people in the UK were aware that it was still used in the I of M, and what it involved. Also, people did not know that a teenager visiting the the island, who got on the wrong side of the law, could find himself on the receiving end. I certainly didn’t, but wish I had known prior to my visit. The Magistrate was Tom Radcliffe. I remember his name well because, whilst waiting for my case to be heard, was told that he was a tough Magistrate, and would probably order a birching. Up to then I had never heard of the birch, and had no idea what was in store for me. No, I did not keep in touch with the others who were birched. To be honest I didn’t really like them very much, and I don’t think they particularly liked me. I was regarded as a bit of a nerd who never really fitted in. Also, in September I left Glasgow to attend University in England. I did not see the birch rod used, but I understand it consisted of 4 rods, which meant it was in reality a multiple cane. I remember the first stroke was not very painful at first, bit the pain came later. With the second and third strokes, the pain was instant. After the sixth stroke, It seemed that the the pain had spread beyond my buttocks to the whole of my body.

Ask Londoner's if they would agree with you where 92% of all Muslim migrants in London have been protesting and calling for jihad over the past 3 weeks. The problem with these young lads is that they have utterly failed to understand Islam and its central religious fundamentalism of jihad. Islam is not just a religious believe it is also a political philosophy and they not separate ideologies, the Quran and its religious and political philosophy is in fact one and not separate and this is what these young lads fail to understand. Secondly the whole globalization ideology is a failed philosophy look at Sweden once the safest and most politically stable country in Europe, today it is the rape capitol of Europe, after 10 years of migration! You cannot integrate people from a different culture, religion and identity into a western country, religion and culture and identity because attempting to do so is asking for one to give up their identity which inevitably leads to conflict. Some basic points as to why non western migration is a failed policy designed by the globalists and their cronies such as the labor party( Westminster) to crease their votes. It is a well known fact that 96% of migrants vote for the labor party (Westminster) whose far left policies has all but destroyed the UK. Crying about middle eastern wars is not going to solve Arab on Arab violence and neither is trying to manipulate the conscience of the people of the Isle of Man by saying its unjustified to leave Syrian refugees to die. The human rights of the people of the Isle of Man take precedent over migrants who in fact will struggle to integrate into a society that they in fact religiously despise!

Interesting interview of Henry Corlett. I was birched in 1965, and wonder if I was of the Scottish lads to which Henry referred. However, my offence was getting into a fight with other holiday makers who objected to our bad language. I received 9 strokes with my trousers and pants down, and Henry would certainly have seen the marks on my buttocks. It was very painful. I was unable to sit down for several hours, and the stripes took a month to disappear. Nevertheless, I learned my lesson, and have never been in trouble since.
