Amazing skills on display to make these swords.
great interview
When I bow to a sword, I'm also bowing to the maker.
Ryan did a really great job of interviewing me in this.
great . sake is going place.
The fact that Japanese players are more admired and supported by Japanese people now than when Nomo first came to MLB is not because Japanese culture has changed but because Japanese companies found a way to benefit from sending NPB players to MLB. Since Ichiro era, Japanese ball clubs started receiving compensation in terms of posting fee. Nippon Ham fighters received $51 million by sending Darvish to Rangers. Chiba Lotte was thinking the same thing by sending Sasaki once he turned to 25 years old. But because Sasaki wanted to come to MLB before he turned to 25 years old, he has been receiving undeserved criticism by Japanese media who are heavily influenced by powerful Japanese companies. Japan has changed a lot since I left Japan 40 years ago. But some area has never changed. I hope days will come in Japan when society truly respects and supports an individual will.
My group of friends who are mainly Asian Americans root for Shohei Ohtani. We feel he represents Asians well.
as an asian american myself...i look up to ohtani as a very distinguishable role model with high hopes for the asian community...manny pacquiao was the last asian athlete to really pave a path in the sporting world...but ohtani is the UNICORN...very lucky to witness this phenomena
Good video. Very informative.

We drink super hot tea ☕
Oh here we drink hot tea (mast masala chai) to tackle the heat and some people carry around like a face towel or something similar to wipe the sweat. Don't ask me why. I mean it is sometimes 48°C here in my country but we still drink tea. 😂😂
I wear a jisulife neck fan when cooking, when I am out etc and I am from Singapore...we are being cooked alive
In the UK we deal with the heat by mostly bitching and moaning about how hot it is!
How to handle heat? We don't care
In Germany we just burn to a crisp 🙃 Oh and complain every 2 seconds.
I'm drinking hot tea From 🇮🇷
its hot and humid here during the dry season. so basically we just dont go out unless we have to and remain indoors with ac on😂. when the sun s down to a slanting angle, then we go out😆
Maybe wear shorts / a tank top 😅.
30° in uk and hell would be more accommodating😢
bring it up a degree or 2 and thats a texas summer
Naruto, obviously 😅
A hoodie 💀
I like to bathe in cooling spray every 10 minutes
Taking a cold bath every 2 hours
They work in life😊
北海道に移住し、札幌に定住 🏡 .
The best is to set up an Easy To Follow 'Ticket System' with simple instructions for tourists and foreigners. First to bring in additional income to boost Japan economy. Second is to east out the difficulties that results from culture differences which are inevitable. Two birds with one stone.
Handle heat? Hmmmm..... I'm handle heat by showering, but in my country heat is like a rice to us that we eat everyday. So everyone in here handle heat differently to each other. Stay cool and hydrated everyone.
.... As a Norwegian living in Bergen... most are just happy for warm summer days. If there are too many in a row, though, we start complaining (the city is known for its rain... though most so prefer sun over rain)... As for how we cope... Light summer clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Those thermos bottles that keep the water cold are also brilliant and very popular. I have also seen people use fans... but that is more an indoor thing (a fan that also sprays you with water can work together quite well). ... Personally, I find my umbrella just as brilliant on rainy days as on sunny days, and since it's an item I usually always bring with me... (As yet, it's not a common sight here.. to put it mildly. I dont really care about that, though, as long as I get my shade). .... It's 12 C outside right now (which is what it feels like as well), and tomorrow, we may get temperatures up to 21C. ...I've actually started to bring or even wear a light jacket/sweater for warmth (sometimes we get the northern wind and then the sunlight might be as warm as it wants to be, as the wind will feel bitingly cold on bare skin regardless). ... I had enough sun back in May... but this summer hasn't been too bad overall (I am very thankful for the Gulf Stream overall, though)
A dream really we have 34 today in Germany after 4 days in a row with over 30 degrees- I wish we could have 20 right now 😂
@MrNixtt ... Sounds rather awful >_< ... And it's probably sunny, too, I guess? Here.. Right now, it's 18C, and the rain has stopped (we might have thunder and lightning as well, but I haven't noticed at least).. for the moment, the forecast is rain for the rest of the week. (And the average temperature will decrease to 15 in the daytime). ... On the other hand, I may be on my way to getting a cold, so there's that.
@@JunNights full sun yeah and at night we had 21 degrees. Take care of yourself 👍🏻
@@MrNixtt you too :-) (it'll be 13C or so tonight :-) here).
How we handle heat? Wearing more sweater and thick clothes and walk around the city.. because we are fire nation country gahaa😂😂

Thank you for your supporting us helping to understand your book, IKIGAI. Thanks to you and Ryan, I have deepened my understanding of the importance of IKIGAI. And also the relationship with five pillars in this book . Anyway I have been interested in what you have wanted to show the most important . You and Ryan’s cheerful conversations were so pleasant .
Japanese are so nice even if Koreans still hates them and they still do this.
It's surprising to me that I came here thinking it would be an easy relaxing video, and then it turned out to be a really serious conversation which is interesting 😊
For me I like Japanese slide of life manga, like a chapter - a story, but it's kind of low in volume nowadays and not that popular compared to one with a solid story (??). I'm quite scared if this type of manga is gone because of the overseas market aiming.

It’s a failed attempt I mean they can easily still stand in the street !
Fatim thank you bro we need more of you here in the USA too ! Wish you could teach the aa community how to become a professional in any industry they want despite one’s background ! 🙏🏼
So all foreigners take note !! You are welcome but do not inconvenience the locals nor ever obstruct the flow of daily life around you ! That number one. And imitate the behaviors of the locals around you ! This is the west where braggadocio ghetto hood antics is appreciated as heroic individualism! There is a time and place for that but only if understand the fine nuances of Japanese society so that it will be actually appreciated and not be seen as straight up pain the ass behavior
the big problem is the phone you use for taking pictures i saw in Tokyo on a rainy day a person slipped on the street because of the phone and another person making a flag fall down on the street and she was running away like nothing happened. Around the world it is a big problem with montréal headphones in métro some people have died because of it
very good
Wow, what awesome energy in this interview!
テメェの国の問題話し合えよってこの場に居たら言う
Very enjoyable interview. Definitely more info than I expected. All the best on the launch of your channel.
So difficult to hear what the guy is saying.
Very interesting translated clip, but seems like it’s struggling to generate reach…. Or the content only interests Japanese audience.
I hope they understand that there needs to be a separation from work and life. So no forced after work drinking. Also no mandatory overtime. Also no discrimination
Anecdotally, from those I know, there's less of an issue with that now, especially as people are more health conscious. Now there's more of a "civilised dinner" culture and people can leave earlier than before. Not 100% ideal but much better
@@ls.c.5682 agreed! Much different from before but still a lot of work to do in trying to leverage the strength of diversity as diversity grows in Japan and the Japanese workplace. Just passed 3 million for the international population. I believe Japan will be a very different place (in a good way) in 10 years or less. The challenge is how to protect all the great aspects of "Japanese style business" and move into a different style that places great value on diversity. A nice challenge. lets DO this!
Yes, I think the understanding is there. Now we need to get into the implementation. I believe this can be done!
Discrimination exists not only among international workers but also among Japanese employees, including full-timers, contract workers, and part-timers (haken). I've heard of cases where a female haken was sexually harassed by her manager. When it was reported to HR and upper management, they chose to sweep it under the carpet to save face and instead fired the haken. This happened a few months ago. A sad reality indeed.
