Scam. This isnt a peer reviewed study. It's people selling a product saying how great it is. Well done dietician, 6 rounds of scamming people and still no evidence on humans that there is any benefit to kidney function.

I live in Germany. I'm in the keto program in Uni Klinik in Cologne. I'm in keto for thet last 5 years. When I lived in Poland, they did not measure the GFR at all, only USG to measure kidneys volume and cysts growth which is slighly incorrect because when you have multiple cysts in the kidney, the ultrasound and the Doctor basically do not know what is what anymore,. After my moving to Germany, I was fasting for 10 days and my first GFR was 87. After 2 years of keto and unfortunately dirty keto, I went down to 68, but then I went up again to 75 and for the last 4 years in Germany I'm in 68-75 range. In the next years keto will reveal the truth, so good luck for me, and for everybody out there struggling with PKD. Greetings!

I was diagnosed with PKD in 2015, at the time it was for an ultrasound for pain related to a G.I. complaint for IBS. Thats when they told me at 30 going on 31 I have had PKD my whole life since birth. The only other symptom I had prior was high BP, that I thought was just the result of say weight, diet, stress. In my 20s with exercise, diet, and ideal weight id maintain my BP in an ideal near normal range. I didnt even go on my first BP pill till maybe 26 or 27, didnt go on two BP bills till prolly my early 30s, and just 2 years ago started a 3rd BP pill. Prior to diagnosis I never had pain or discomfort, quiet literally around close to 32 I started to notice it. Especially as I started exercising and running 6 miles a day and began losing lots of weight. I turned 40 last week, as I aged through my 30s id say the pain has been more real and comes and goes. High salt meals tend to make it worse, exercise almost brings it about but I push trough it. You can feel the weight of the kidneys in you when you run, and it does hinder your performance to a degree. Two years ago when I turned 38 my gfr was fine at >90, just before turning 39 my egfr dropped to 76, I retested a little after turning 39, 4 months later it was 78. My crt was up to 1.24, but its dropped to 1.22, my most recent egfr a month ago was 78. My neph says im stable in stage 2, I exercise 5 to 6 days a week. My diet id say is ok, I eat salads, avocados, bananas, not alot of fast food. I limit my caffiene, usually just green tea, or 1 cup of coffee. Im back to working on my weight I got up to 259 5' 11" two years ago, im now down to 222 and am shooting to get to 190. My energy levels can fluctuate, but the exercise helps overall, without it I feel tierd, and just out of it, maybe thats just how it is to turn 40. Ive been taking ketocitra for the last year or so, and I love it, I do need to reorder here soon.

Technically I don't meet the standard criteria for diagnosing it as PKD. The number of cysts isn't large enough for someone my age. But imaging tests on the kidneys are always abnormal because of the large cysts.
