What was the torque on the crank bolt when you put it back on?
Honda used to say 181 ft/lbs but have since changed it to 47 ft/lbs plus 60 degrees. I personally went with as tight as my husband could make it without a cheater pipe bc I didn't have my torque wrench for this particular repair.
It's fine, it's an automatic transmission. You could possibly knock it into neutral for a moment but that's it. Not much different than someone knockin the normal shifter in neutral. Tbh, old farm trucks with stick and clutch are prob more accident prone.
@@Evan-u1z i mean, I've thrown a truck in reverse going 55mph when I was teenager. It didn't kill the transmission but it didn't do it any favors.
I feel the same 😅
Cool vid. I’ve had similar problems with other cars. Good find. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
@@KlepsGarage thank you! With the amount of oil dumping out I thought for sure it was going to be a huge deal to fix. Turned out to be easy peasy!

How did you get past that heat shield?
Dawn soap works great for cleaning grease and oil. I think it was a good idea for you to clean up the engine bay, it could help with the sale of a vehicle.
@@WizardReel I did use a lot of dawn. It's actually what I use on my skin a lot too to get grease off!
You need a pressure hose not a heater hose
nice Job!!!!
@@CrispySonOfA thank you!
Does anyone know if if the seprated will driving like mine. It my engine time ect. Screwed
@@dustinblackburn3435 if it separates it will not screw up your engine. This is not the timing belt. Just replace the balancer pulley and you should be good to go.
Mine came off while driving and did not mess with timing
if you have below 47v for FICM, thats to low...
@@JP-mu3xl not entirely true. Yes, 47+ volts is ideal. I wouldn't blame the FICM unless it was closer to 40 or under. I'd check on data before jumping right to the FICM. However, I'm basing that entirely on what I've heard on diesel tech Ron's channel
Why don't you remove the tyre to make more room for you 🤨
Did your fix work?
@@MoochieBall yes and no. It did fix my boost issue but then I discovered diesel in my oil... My husband said I've put too much money into it and cut me off so it's currently sitting in my driveway waiting for me to flip some other vehicles so I can buy parts with my fun money. But when it has fresh oil the boost will build to 20 which is significantly better than the 6-9 I was getting before this video.
Good job Thank you for the information.👍

Did you figure out why it wore out uneven?
@@DONTFEEDTHETROLL100 yes, my caliper was wearing out on one side. I have another video showing how I replaced that.
Did you sell it yet? How much for it?
@@kevinmac5029 yes, I did. I sold it for $6.8k which put me about $1k in the black on it.
So loosen the bolt I have to pull towards the front not going left?
You are still going lefty loosey. I'm pulling to the right bc it's at the bottom of the circle. If my ratchet was straight up it would be going left. Does that make sense? I'm not sure how to describe it better lol but it is left.
@@Sara_The_Feral_Housewife thank you
@@chrisbennyblancogonzalez9119 No problem! Good luck! That bolt can be quite difficult.
@@Sara_The_Feral_Housewife yeah I’m having difficulty but I think i gotta get the adapter for the 19mm socket
@@chrisbennyblancogonzalez9119 if you jack it up your van more you may be able to slide a cheater pipe over your breaker bar to get more leverage. You also can get it off with an impact if you have a decent sized one or an air impact.
Great job ..
@@My0186 Thank you!
Have a 05 Ford question... Replaced Turbo, oil feed line, EGR cooler ,oil cooler, gaskets and all. Orings everything. The truck idles but rpm surges to 1200 or more. Shit the truck off to restart idles fine at 664 to 6982 rpm and starts surging again. Any ideas.
@@My0186 that's interesting. If you unplug your ICP sensor does it still do it? Your ICP sensor on an 05 should be easy to get to on the passenger side valve cover. My next question if you have a fuel pressure gauge, is the fuel pressure surging too? I haven't come across that particular issue yet.
Hello I have a 2003 f250 6.0 been having issue with gauge light coming up then oil gauge drops. Can you kind of guide me as to what to check please
My first guess would be the sensor I replaced in this video. It tends to wear out and act up. Do you have any engine codes popping up with it?
Nice. Did you take the lid off your Master Cylinder and refill brake fluid that may have squirted out ?
@@glencoe6305 I took the lid off and pumped the brakes several times and topped it off. Did I not mention it in the video? I might have forgot to add that in there
@@Sara_The_Feral_Housewife no
Thanks for the information very detailed and to the point
Glad it was helpful!
How fast should the oil filter houing drain after stop cranking? Mine drops very rapidly
That's normal. The only way to keep it from draining would be to press the anti drain "button" spring at the bottom of the filter housing.
@Sara_The_Feral_Housewife thanks for the reply! I'm having similar issues and found your video very helpful.
@@jacobrobinson2303 good to hear! The good news is if you're getting oil coming up in the oil filter then your low pressure oil pump is working! Narrows down to a high pressure pump, or some sort of leak like your stand pipes or sct fitting. Hopefully it's just your IPR though bc that's the easiest fix!
@Sara_The_Feral_Housewife the truck lost all power and cut out rather immediately. I have rebuilt the entire heads, replaced all the HP other than the HPOP and IPR. I'm going to pull off the IPR and inspect it.
never trust a parking brake I have seen so many fail always use wheel chocks
Absolutely agree
Now i have a crush but thanks for the video just paid 3600 to get mine fixed ran for 2 days still not sure yest showed a possible crank shaft sensor do you have a video on it?
What did they "fix"? Usually the crank shaft sensor code comes on when you crank it for a long time. Almost always lights up with a crank no start situation. Do you have a scanner that can read ICP, ipr, and FICM sync and volts? Those are the first things I check.
Nice... i replaced the serpentine belt some times from 6.0 with 2 alternators .. more hard 😢
I've never had one with 2 alternators. This one can be a pain to do if the belt "kick stand" doesn't work.
Great job....🎉
Thank you!
It's been 4 months since video. How has the Detroit tie rods held up? There are a few reviews that they didn't last.
I sold it about a month ago. I had no issues but didn't drive it a lot bc I was fixing it most of the time I owned it 😂 I don't feel like I can give a good review on them. However, I've used lots of Detroit Axel parts on other vehicles and have never had an issue with them.
Why they call it the 6 point NO.......unless you Bulletproof all 5 weak points in this motor .....
Glad I just replaced mine while i was in the valley doing the bulletproof diesel oil cooler swap.
Smart!
The more I listen to your videos, the more I realize that you’re very good at what you do congratulations great to see a woman a real woman repairing diesel engines. Kudos to you.
Thank you! Even though I love getting my hands greasy, I'm very proud to be a traditional, God fearing woman!
I got a better look at your wire strippers. I’m sorry, but it does not have the crimping portion on there from previous experience. I suggest you get a crimp tool to properly crush the wire terminal to the wiring.
Just bought some real crimpers for another repair! Thank you!
Wait a minute now your wire strippers have the crimp tool on it for making electrical connections. I suggest putting heat shrink tape on it once you make the connection look at your wire strip. You’ll see what I mean. It should be in different colors down towards where the 2/2 are joined together in between the Y point
I will! My husband is a radio guy and just introduced me to heat shrink. Makes my wire repairs look so much better!
I never thought to check that switch for one of my (assumed) many oil leaks. Another thing and expense added to the list, thank you lol
The 6.0 oil leak check list is a long one 😂Good luck!
I got to tell you you have a beautiful voice you really do you sure a pretty little thing thank you so much for the information. Have a good day, sweetie.
Thank you!
Thank you so much sister
You are most welcome! I hope it helps!
What if your injectors don’t clatter at all on mines ma’am
I would suspect the FICM. Do you have anything to check the volts on the FICM or the FICM sync? The very first thing I would do is make sure that the FICM is plugged all the way in.
I was so glad I found your video, I cranked my 20 times and threw a wrench after it not starting.
I know the feeling 😂 I hope you got it going!
👍👍👍👍!
Thank you for this. I'm having the exact same issue on my E350 bus. Ordering the parts you have listed here.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes
If I may... don';t use the felt protectors. They always (in my experience) cause problems with clamp fit and I'm not convinced they protect anything. If there's a leak past the battery post (electrolyte), they act like a reservoir and rot the clamp/cables faster. If you look at the negative clamp (at 2:43), you can see how the clamp is distorted and not sitting all the way down? Remove the clamp, straighten it, gently pry it open with a flat blade so that, with the felt removed, it sits down far enough that the battery post extends just past the top of the clamp. Then it can be tightened. Ima watch the rest of the vid, my apologies if this is attended to later on, I promise I'll feel bad :)
I'm still very much an amateur so I'm always open to friendly advice! Thank you!

You did very well has a lot of information camera accuracy was on point I will be watching more videos thank you
Thank you! I appreciate it
Those new batteries didn’t seem to be cranking too well. Maybe just the audio. Kinda almost sounds like a dead cylinder
A few weeks after making this video it wouldn't start again. I replaced the starter bc the RPMs weren't getting above 130s but everything else was looking good. That did the trick. I still think it has an oil leak bc it's a long crank and takes about 5-10 seconds to build ICP.
