It's coming along nicely. You're doing a great job!
Thank you!
Hello, wann kommt die nächste folge ?
I'll make one soon maybe this weekend.
Hey, I like the wheels also. Like you said, they really stand out. Those 62s are a really sharp looking car. Good luck and just keep plugging away
Looking forward to more updates on your Newport! My 61 is your car's twin down to the Tahitian Turquoise paint, except mine is a 4 door. Best of luck.
Hello, wann kommt die nächste folgen ?
I just posted a new video
Fantastic. I always wanted one of them and had 2 DT250MXs.
I had a DT 400 when i was a kid about 19. I rode YAMAHA bikes for a long time. They make really reliable bikes.
Sweet as
ای جاااان نفسی😘😘😘😘
Your wife is pretty awesome 😎
I think so too!
Man that car is really clean!!! Hey does that handle tool have a part number or manufacturer?
Yeah, it's in real nice shape. The tool is known as KD 435
I hope EVERYTHING goes GREAT for your restoration! I owned a (tired) '61 Newport in 1973! Mine was BEATEN, but I LOVED this $45 car!
Hell yeah brother. I have done that project in Finland. Hope your A466 transmission works. You can get a factory shop manual from rockauto, worth every penny. Good luck for the build.
I would've enjoyed seeing you wrestle that out 😂
Nice job, look forward to the next video, cheers
The ol girl sounds alittle crusty but should be a ripper
Great update. I'm having a similar problem with my 1960. The motor is stuck, and I have a newer one, but I'm not looking forward to swapping the crank shafts. Keep the content coming 👍
The transmission mount crossmember on 727 cars are slightly different from the cast iron 466 cars. I'm currently building a 426 wedge for my 300G and am switching up to a 1965 727 but also a complete 1965 rear end converting to front disc brakes. I restored my rust free G back in 1995 and it doesn't have the correct eng/trans so I don't feel bad changing them. Looking forward to following your build. All the best.
I need to get back on my 61 NewYorker two door....Mines a lot rustier than yours....Look forward to more vids!
We have very similar interests…I too have a red Impala and I am currently working on a 1962 Chrysler as well…Good stuff!!!
The A727 was good up to 600HP. She'll take it.
Just finished my trunk pan on my 64 chrysler a couple weeks ago. Complete trunk rebuild, 3/4 interior floor rebuild... Just moved onto body sanding and dent filling. Keep up the good work.
Awesome job. I've been watching them as soon as I see them go up. Trunk pan looks just about identical to my 61.
talk less because the car will never come back to life....never
Hey, so glad to see someone pay attention to a beautiful car that isn't a Charger, Cuda, Road Runner or other such so-called muscle cars. I'm so tired of those kinds of videos. Cars like yours need attention as much or more so than those afore mentioned. I have a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Wagon. It is in need of a complete restoration. I am at a perilous time, budget wise and will probably never see it completed. I wish you the best of luck with this project and look forward to future videos on it. Gary
Great start on one of my favorite cars. I have my 61 Windsor 2dht in my garage waiting for me. It was my daily for a few years back in the 90’s. Hopefully I can enjoy it again soon. I hope you keep working on both.
I am from Saudi Arabia, 1962 Chrysler Newport, and I am looking for a spare parts site.❤️❤️
Sounds like America
What a piece of junk!!! How you gonna get this car back to new again?? IMPOSSIBLE. JUST JUNK IT!!
Detergent oil had not been produced yet. So thats what non detergent oil causes, i call it mud.
I had a '61 Chrysler Newport convertible. It had a 383 and a (sadly) single 2 barrel carb. It was nice in the Summer but in Winter, YIKES!!! It wasn't a bad car. I actually was looking for a '60 but this was all I could find. I don't know what the auto manufacturers were thinking by putting a 2 barrel carb on that engine. I dragged down the power and didn't do much for the gas mileage at all.
Many oils from the north east had high paraffin content in the past, I don't think it's an issue anymore
great looking year
Awesome car!
What Great cars! Im restoring my Dads 1961 NewYorker two door.... I also have a 60 NewYorker two door..... One thing though...If your 61 has the factory Torqueflite cast iron version... depending on what year your replacement 361 is....They may not bolt together... The 61 and older Chrysler engines had a different crank to mount to those cast transmissions.... Wish you luck and look forward to seeing more of this beauty!
Correct I was going to go deeper into this on the next video. The replacement is a 62 engine and trans (aluminum case). It will drop right in and if later on if I want to upgrade to a 440 it will bolt right up to the 62 trans.
@@chevler6761 great! Happy to hear! A lot of folks doing these cars do not know that and they get trashed over the owner’s frustration
Very cool, love the 61 👍🙂
Can't wait to see the progress on this 61. Back in 1967, I had a 61 Newport wagon.
Great car, I had a 1960 Chrysler Windsor, with the same astrodome dashboard.
60-61's are best...pretty wacky, but so athletic in looks and performance, and the detailing, like that dashboard, is awesome. luv em...good luck with the project. maybe a good long soak in diesel and marvel oil will loosen up the pistons in the original engine
That will be a nice car when done clad you have a spare 361 . Give her a good polish MOPAR old school or no car . The old 361 will be repairable one day . Index the spark plugs . Fit a good twin system . All the best with it .
👍🏻💯🇦🇺
I think that'll clean up great and wont need a re-paint. 👍😎👍
PLEASE tell me you'll put 300G-style swiveling front seats in that thing instead!
I'm putting in buckets out of a 62. They don't swivel.
That's sweet, I'm getting ready to start working on my 1960 Chrysler. Where did you find your dash mats?
Came with the car, what color are you looking for?
@@chevler6761 I believe it may have been a really dark blue or something it's hard to tell, the sun had eaten it up pretty bad before I rescued it. Also new subscriber hope to see more content You Don't See Much on these old cars too often anymore.
@@g.o.b.2558 i do have access to a lot of parts. i know there is a tan, black, and red one. no blue i believe. thank you for subscribing! agreed that's why i wanted to do a series on this car not only is it special to me but you don't hardly ever see them.
@@chevler6761 Thanks for the responses, I'm guessing mine is black then. Just curious what state are you in? I'm in NM.
Hope you stay with this project. I'd love to see the progress.
I hope so too!
Hi there. Great car. Looking forward too follow your restoration. I have three 61’s myself.
Thanks for the sub!
So cool. I'm doing a 454 in a regular 2dr hard top. Love a 4spd but we'll see.
What's the exhaust set up?
Long long tube headers and Edelbrock mufflers
