Wet Effects Pedalboard and Inside the Chase Bliss Condor HiFi
I build a lot of guitar rigs and I'm very particular about how clean and organized they are. In this video I introduce a new satellite wet effects pedalboard I'm working on with a few Chase Bliss pedals like the Condor HiFi, Warped Vinyl HiFi, Thermae and Mood MKII. They are followed by a Meris LVX and Meris Mercury X in stereo. Apart from that we take a quick dive into how I apply 3M Dual Lock to pedals for a clean look, and move the serial number label to the inside of the pedal. We'll take a quick peek at the inside of the Chase Bliss Condor HiFi while we're doing that.

Source Audio Nemesis Knob Replacements (And other Source Audio Pedals)
zhlédnutí 49Před 2 měsíci
There’s really nothing wrong with the stock knobs on the Source Audio Nemesis, Nemesis ADT, Ventris, Atlas and all the other Source Audio pedals. It’s just that I prefer round knobs. Source Audio pedals use potentiometers with 18T split knurled shafts. Some pedals use smooth-shafts with grub screws, so keep that in mind before you take this on. I ordered the “The Mid-Fi” knobs from Love My Swit...

Where did you buy this base?
It's 3D printed. I quickly designed it and printed it.
The angled buttons however are from Pedalnetics.
😂 voy a sacar mi pie de rey
My ocd brain loves this. Thank you for the dopamine.
Hehe, thanks. I have some proper videos coming about these recent builds.
Busting out the micrometer nice
Calipers. Micrometer looks more like a c-clamp.
@@thunder46350 your right, it’s been like 20 years since I been around any of that stuff. Thank you for not bustling my chops
@@jamesnelson1266 no worries homie.
Very smart use of the label!
Thanks. Otherwise, it gets completely messed up by velcro.
Don't source pedals already have midi thru?
Not all of them. The ones with MIDI through are the big ones like the Ventris and Collider, with the exception being the EQ2 which is small and does have it as well. Most of their smaller pedals don't have a MIDI host, so one has to be added.
@@DannyCruzCreations oh I just got the artifakt and it has midi thru which is cool. You can also try midi splitter cables from your host maybe
@@agharta42 Oh, it's possible they may have made improvements with new pedals like the Artifakt. The reason splitting doesn't work for many of their pedals is because each needs individual hosts. That's why these need one adapter pedal pedal and you can't split.
Excellent video! Very helpful and concise. Thank you
Hi I'm unfamiliar with pedal board setups but what's the point in doing this?
Almost nobody does this. I do it because I'm used to conformal coat custom drone builds. But these plugs have the connectors really close to each other increasing the chance of a short circuit. A quick coat of conformal coating can prevent this.
Bro!! I love this! If you have the tabs I’d love to play it. Truly music to my ears!
Thank you! I tend to play this sort of stuff often. In this case is a simple Dm7 at the 10th fret followed by a C7 two frets down, over and over. The trick is the staccato rhythm pattern with muting, plus a good amount of compression and a dotted 8th delay sync'd to the tempo.
@@DannyCruzCreations this totally made my day. I haven’t heard a good jam in a while. I tend to be picky but this is dope!
@@charlyubaldo8916 Thank you! I REALLY appreciate that!
@@charlyubaldo8916 You know. When I replied about the chord progression I thought I was talking about my other recent video. Not this one. Sorry. Please look up the other one with the funky chord progression. On this one, there really is no tab. I’m just improvising. Thanks again.

How much do you charge typically
Thanks for inquiring. I'm not building for others just yet. I run my own business in marketing, so I've been hesitant about taking on more work. But if I decide to start offering the service I'll post it up on my website.
Что за песня на фоне ?
Haha. I just selected it from the menu when I posted the video. I think it’s called “Tokyo.”
I'm lost is this good?
I probably should've explained. Yes, it's good. Very close to a steady 9 volts as it should be and with the black prong in the center (negative center), the multi-meter is not showing a minus sign, meaning it's not inverted.
@@DannyCruzCreations ph so not only are you seeing the voltage but your seeing the direction too?
@@bigbabybrent2941 Yes, exactly. For reference, if I were to connect the red prong to the center, and black to the barrel, it would again show me 9v, but with a minus symbol. Sorta like this, "-9.23V." Meaning, that red is not connected to negative.
@@DannyCruzCreations well thank you for teaching me that.
Hello, recently bought two source audio pedals, the C4 and Ultra Wave, and I want to mixed with analog pedals, what do you recommend, use this solution, or buy the Neural Hub or use disaster area mini pedal? And what midi controller recommended? Thanks for your help!
I would recommend this solution plus a Morningstar controller (MC3, MC6 Pro). The reason is, it gives you the most flexibility and most options. If you had only one SA pedal, the Disaster Area DMC Micro would work, but it can only host one pedal. The Neuro hub works too, but you still need a controller AND you don't have a full range of control either. You have to set "scenes" for presets. Oh, wait... there's one more option and it's better. The MC6 Pro has a host USB output. It can control one SA pedal without the need for these adapters. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I believe that with a USB hub it should be able to control up to 4 SA pedals without adapters. But worse case, you could have the MC6 Pro and one adapter. I didn't use the MC6 Pro here simply because it wouldn't fit this small board build.
Looks very neat. Curious why you used three adapters instead of one neuro hub?
Hi, I've been asked this. A Neuro Hub is great, but it's dependent on Source Audio's way of doing MIDI control, based on what I believe are called "Scenes" as presets. So, from my understanding, you cannot just do everything that you normally would using MIDI PCs and CCs. Since I'm used to using Morningstar controllers, I wanted to stick with the standard system of running MIDI devices and not have to adapt to the way the Neuro Hub works.
Thanks. My understanding is that hub provides the same connectivity/capability as the individual adapters plus allows you add scenes. Those older one series petals aren’t going to have more presets by using the individual adapters than the hub. They’re limited by their design. I may be totally wrong, and at any rate, you did a super clean job with the installation. Nice work!
@@shanejtram Right. But there is some info there that I believe is missing... and again, I PERSONALLY might be wrong... those older pedals will not get more presets... but I can work with them using CCs for some parameters. Either way, I'm running SA pedals on a few different boards, so it made sense for me to go the route of using the adapters, rather than the hub. At least this way I know I'm not going to run into any snags. So essentially, I opted to avoid surprises by going with the option that would give me the most flexibility even if it costs a little more.
Cool. Glad it does what you need it to. Again, real clean build.
Hey just wanted to follow up on this. You were right there is a difference between the neuro hub and the midi adapters. The adapters can handle pc messages. Cheers!
what’s unconventional about this?
Most guys like to leave some slack. This straight shot isn't very practical if your pedals move at all, cause it can damage the cables or cable jacks on the pedal over time. But these guys are locked in with dual lock to the point where they won't budge so, no problems.
This looks amazing! How did you do it?
I designed the little riser in SketchUp and 3D printed it on a Bambu Lab A1. I've done quite a few more since. They're great to customize the height of your pedals on the board.
I love this ❤
Thanks! It's been a few years!
Subbed back after seeing this one vid!! Great drumming man. Love the style!!
Thanks! I really appreciate it! I wish I still had this studio. I have better tech now... as in, proper mics, a good RME preamp, mixer, interface... I just don't have the proper room anymore. In order to continue making music, I've opted to program drums instead until I can have a large room again.
😂
Fue tocada a su estilo. Igual nl está. Aún así se escucha bien
Gracias.
Nice powercaster on the wall
Hehe, thanks. I love that thing. Plays so well. It's hated by many, but I think it's awesome looking. It's in need of some work because I'm swapping out the pickups and bridge. Currently, I only swapped out the bridge knowing it would go out of phase with the neck pickup. What I didn't expect was a grounding issue. I'll take care of it now that have a matching Seymour Duncan P90 to fix both the phasing and ground noise.
Left hand on hi hat. 👏
Yeah, my son's a lefty forced to learn right handed. So he plays like that. Haha. He does play guitar right handed. Good, cause shopping for lefty guitars is not fun.
Saweet bro, great job guys!
Thanks! Maybe I can get this channel up the level of my other one :)
cool demo with live drummer :)

Estás llevando bien el ritmo, pero te falta escuchar más los juegos que Alex hace con el charles básicamente...

@victor moncada - Digo, dijo "tenso", pero me entiendes.
But there's nothing about that... that even sounds remotely musical. That's the biggest problem with running these pentatonic's vertically... no very sexy sounding at all.
True. But you have to start somewhere. This is for beginners.
Te comiste la parte del golpe al hi hat que es caracteristico del principio..y que demuestra la destreza del batero de turno...estas bien implementado eso si

Great drumming. Can you tell me is this go pro hero entry level camera? The one you can buy for around 140 $?
Hi, sorry, I just saw this. These are actually the very original HD Heros. They SUCK compared to any of the new GoPro INCLUDING the entry level current Hero. Note that the audio IS NOT going through the GoPro. I'm feeding it separately into my computer through the mixer. -Danny
