Blackwater River WMA Trail Ride
Join us for our very first trail ride! This is the first time any of us have been out like this in our Jeeps. We traveled to the Blackwater River WMA around the Milton, FL area. We started at 30.71253, -86.87931 (corner of Deaton Bridge and Boat Ramp Rd), and followed a path up to the Munson Fire Tower. From there we headed NW on Hwy 4 to start the next leg of the trails. The sporadic rain helped keep the dust down, and overall is a was a great ride. I forgot the magnetic mount for the camera (doh!), so a lot of the video is from the dash mount in the Gladiator.
This part of the Florida panhandle is absolutely breathtaking and will be on our list to revisit. There's also the Blackwater River State Park that looks like a lot of fun.

Welcome to our first video for tearing down the 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ! In this video series we are swapping in a junkyard Chevy 5.3L LM7 V8. The plan is to take it a bite at a time, remove the old motor/transmission, swap in the new, and get that running. At some point we will start doing body work, paint, and interior work.

Hi i really like the video that goes over lots of what's there and what plans are in the future. I too have a 1939 Chevrolet 4 door and am very interested in doing a frame swap and of course LS engine/transmission combo. Any ideas, insight, do's and don'ts would be beyond appreciated.

Pretty good start and a decent video effort for early content. Good use of time-lapse. It's not a restoration. It's a street rod. Words matter. A restoration would take the car back to factory original condition or as close as you can get to it. Do your research and understand you audience. Improper use of the vernacular will alienate some of your potential viewing community. That's the way it goes on CZcams. Sadly, somebody did a half-assed job on the original build. They failed to restore the body and just "fixed it up" likely knowing it would be somebody else's problem in the future. It's a shame. Looks like a pretty nice car otherwise. Not sure why anybody would spend time, effort, and money putting a big-ass engine in this platform. It doesn't make any sense. What's the point? More HP adds nothing to this car. It's not like you're ever going to race it and high HP for showing and cruising is $$$ of fuel. Just put in a small block, make the A/C work, and cruise it. Make it a nice, practical, efficient driver and enjoy the ride. But to each his own, I suppose... I'm a "mostly original" kinda guy. If you're having fun and have the money to burn, that's what it's all about - fun. BTW... The rear license plate is "frenched". Also a common on headlights back-in-the-day... Sorry if this sounds harsh but IMO the best advice is honest advice. Not many folks want to hear that these days...

Thanks! We toyed with the idea of doing this during the Datsun project but never commited to it. A Datsun walk around video is probably going to be in our future.
