Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro Review (Best Tech Bag for Women?)
It's about time there was a female-focused CZcams channel on this topic. Thank you. đ Could you make a video for women who have a 17-inch laptop ( Dell XPS17 9730) and are 4.92 feet tall?đ It would cover a versatile backpack that is proportional to a petite figure, can fit the laptop with a thick hard case (like Smartree), is suitable for daily work outside, and still looks great and stylish on them. It would also include a travel pack as an extra bag thatâs perfect for trips around the world, along with a carry-on for example. Please đ«¶
Thanks! Love the PD design but want the Tortuga comfort.
Tortuga comfort is unmatched !
Transit Workpack đ
Its just the best!!
I work in an environment where jeans and shorts are a no-no, so I appreciate the inclusion of the Nomatic and the Troubadour. I'd love to see another list that focuses work totes and backpack alternatives. Keep the cool lists coming and thanks!
If i do another work bag round up I will def add more totes and bags! Glad you liked it :)
Nothing's more boring than a company that sells only one colorway for all products. Alpaka proves that organization and color can coexist!!
PREACH i love a brand that can do that đđ»
Hi, can you get the bag in HK?
Yes!
With the hip belt & sternum strap, is it ok if the shoulder straps don't connect to my shoulders anymore (similar to what you can briefly see at 6:19 with the Tortuga)? the bag i just bought (Kelty Asher 35L) does that a fair bit for me, so i had the impression that it was built for a longer torso than what i have đ if i don't put the hip belt tight, the pack sits too low to be really comfortable unfortunately :( as you can tell, I'm very obviously the target group for this video haha thank you so much for this!!
Honestly i know it looks weird but for me it takes the pressure off my shoulders so i actually don't mind it! Awww you're welcome I'm glad you enjoy the videos :))
The Harbor London is very feminine. Iâve got the Aer CP in xpac and itâs super light, comfy, and the orange interior looks đ„
Yes its a beauuuutiful bag! I am a big fan of that orange interior as well đ
Have you guys at NN ever heard of Stubble and Co? I may have mentioned them before. Aaron may like the tote, but they do a roll top too. (Saw them on Gear By Orlaigh đ)
They are on my list of gear to test out!!
The timing of this video! Just when i needed to look up backpacks for work. Love the production and the energy in the vid!
So glad to hear that!! :) thanks so much
why it talk country and southern but look latin.
if "it" is me i am neither of those things lol
Sympl Commuter didnât make your list? Too big?
I still have to test it out!
I'd not pick Bellroy, they're pushed all over CZcams and i refuse to buy one.. đ€Ș I'll take an Osprey.. any will do.. Arcane Tote is nice.. i wonder if theyd send me a free one if i told them i really really like them a lot.. đ€ đ€Ș
I have an Osprey Nebula 32L, it is a great backpack, but as an office backpack the Bellroy Workpack is way better. If you get osprey for an office pack go for their more urban backpacks
@@OndaPiloto i have no use for a smart office work back pack etc. if I did, and I went Osprey, I'd maybe pick the Arcane Tote as mentioned or I might pick one from their Transporter range. Maybe their Flap top Transporter in black. Maybe.
@@linedwell sorry, I saw your comment on a video about work bags and I mistakenly assumed you were interested in a work bag
@@OndaPiloto you know backpacks can be used for carrying stuff in general, not just for work or picnics or camping etc? In fact, Work Backpacks make pretty good EDC packs.. đ
Work packs do indeed make great EDC packs! but you haveeeee to give Bellroy a try, i promise the hype is real! and of course Osprey is just the GOAT
The Alpaka Metro is now also available in Blue (with light gray interior) and Gray (with orange interior)
Great color options
Yessss Alpaka is stepping up their color game!
I have both the Alpaka Metro and the Aer City (non-XPAC) packs. The Metro is my go-to EDC when I want to carry a bit more, while I use the Aer mostly to hold all my tech gear when I roadtrip back home. Absolute bangers, both of them.
I'm looking at both those bags, but leaning toward the Metro. The City looks huge for 14 liters.
@@marianthelibrarian2274 For all my love of Aer products, if I had to pick only one between these two, Iâd go for the Metro.
Agreed the Metro is a classic EDC!
I love you
I love you too
We all do.. no one's actually watching for the bags, that'd be silly.. đ€Ș
spread the love guys đ«¶
Just in time, as I'm looking for a work backpack †you always have my back!
I got youuuu đ
The dangle annoy me. I want the backpack but the damn dangle
Trust i feel you. You can buy some dangle stoppers on amazon or something if you really want it
Just in time for you to review the newly released 10th anniversary "Ultra" version of this backpack. Better compression buckles, 300gm lighter but more durable + different lime green interior :)
Yes i want to test it out!!đ
One simple argument for me to get the bigger one without watching any videos⊠Mom: Get the bigger one, you need to carry all the SHET im gonna buy abroad
Hahhaha moms know best!
I'd prefer a separate compartment. But I'm a shorty, and finding a slim pack for my height that can also fit my 16" laptop is kinda like looking for a unicorn. So I gotta compromise, and I'd rather have a sleeve that's really well padded, like this one, than a giant pack with a separate laptop compartment.
The compromise just isn't fair for us short people đ
evergoods mpl22 plsđ
Adding it to my list :)
Would love to see a review of the 1733 Side Pack 3.5l next!
I will try and add it to my list :)
I have been watching and rewatching your backpack reviews since my 10-day backpack-only trip through Scandinavia earlier this summer. I had a different bag that worked fine but being very petite (4'10" 95lbs), and the backpack having no load-lifters, the adjustments and proportions could have been much better. Thank you for this review, I wish I had heard and taken this advice and bought THIS Osprey Fairview from the beginning. I'm preparing for another trip and tried this on at REI packed with 25 lbs, and walked around the store for about 30 minutes. Anyone 5' or shorter shouldn't bother with any other backpack -- THE OSPREY FAIRVIEW is definitely THE GOAT of travel packs for petite women. Consider it like buying an off the rack suit, but going to a skilled tailor who customizes the fit exactly for your frame and measurements.
Glad you're enjoying! yes i just think this is the GOAT long term travel backpack for women its just amazing
Itâs so nice to see this on someone who is my height! I was worried about it looking freakishly large but actually looks all right
Glad I can help! I know these large travel packs always look huuuuuge on us smaller people so I got you đ
Nooo, I decided I wanted this one instead of the Osprey Fairview becuase it seems like a more manageable silhouette for my frame, but itâs no longer available đą
I know im so sorry đ ill have to do some research to find another bag similar to it
@@GearfortheGirls I found two left in stock, and on sale on public lands! Thank you so much for your videos đ«¶đŒ
I have the mini version and im a dude. Best work bag I've ever had. Not a back pack/not a laptop bag. Great look, room for everything I carry.
Yes its such a good looking bag! Glad you like
I would buy this, but from the reviews I've seen online, this thing attracts lint and hair just as well as a lint roller. I would wait for version 3 so they address this issue.
Yeah this seems to be the biggest issue with this bag
Please do the bellroy lite travel pack 30L review for ladies!đ
Its on my list! :)
@@GearfortheGirls awesome! Canât wait.
If Pakt made the bag with a more water resistant material and used aqua guard zippers and finally used diff material for the back of the bag, this bag would be a winner. For now I'd prefer the Tortuga or peak design travel backpack.
And fabric that wasnât a pet hair magnet!
Agreed and the materials make it a bit heavier. Tortuga is one of my favorites
@@GearfortheGirls I agree. I donât need a pocket for everything. Just give me space to put my crap and an easy way to grab my headphones, phone and tablet.
What you said about the straps is my problem with all the bags that are like premium travel packs and also why I follow you! I bought 2 premium bags already and found out I cant wear them because the straps are too wide and they cut into my body and are so uncomfortable. Most of these companies make bags for men. I would really love to see a company that is making the same bag just for a womanâs body. I mean with all my love for osprey, and they do have an amazing bag, itâs just not pretty. And I would prefer the look of the pakt one but⊠shoulder strapsâŠ.
Glad you agree! Yes forsure the back is just not suitable for a small body, we need the bags for the ladies đ©
Thats not a 'for girls' bag is it? It looks absolutely massive for an average woman to carry.
Nooo its for anyone! But will def look bigger on the girls haha
@@GearfortheGirls i reckon I know a couple girls who could fit inside it.. đ€Ș My daughter could, and probably would if it saved her walking.. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I do wonder whether the smaller backpack is more suitable for you. I personally went with the 35L variation so that it could also be placed under-the-seat as a personal item when I want to do that. I usually travel with a roller suitcase as well. However, starting to consider one-bag travel, and if I do that, migrating to a larger (45L) might become an optionâŠand then the decision will be to either get a larger Pakt or grab a Tortuga. Personally for me, I think the extra features of the Pakt sway in its favor.
I do travel with a smaller pack usually 35L, this is just to show others about this bag if they are interested :)
Itâs huge! đ thank you for the review â€
oh its a bigggg ol bag!
So relaxing
đ«¶
Team Sling
love it đ
pouch, especially this bellroy one.
right?! i loveeee the bellroy one
Team pouch bc it looks better than all the rest. Slings and fannys look awkward af when they are packed full
hmmm yeah they can def have a bulky look to them
Again cool video, super informative and what you expect from a video from a channel of such quality! One question: How many rats ? As in how many rats can this bag fit ? As in as in, what are the rat dimensions? If this isnât the right bag for rats what would be ? Yours sincerely, K.
I'm definitely team Pouch / Crossbody. Slings on the front don't feel right, I think my dad belly gets in the way.. you don't have that issue.. đ€Łđ€Ł Same reason wearing a fanny looks weird in me, it looks like I'm a kangaroo.. đ€Ș
hahah so team pouch it is!
Team sling. Could you help me find your Instagram?
Pls do more reviews on Doughnut backpacks like the Colorado and Christopher.
I'll try and add them to the list :)
I do all, just diff styles for diff outfits
agreed i think i do the same!
Team Crossbody, always.
ahh good choice!
Please explain how a little rubbery zipper pullers are going to provide any real locking security when they can be easily cut with as little as a pair of nail clippers. I want to like this bag, but there are times when it would be great to be able to slow someone down as they swipe your stuff.
Forsure its not the most secure locks but better than nothing at all
in aprx a year or two the hypalon material will start to fall apart. Shoulder straps are too stiff even after 2 years of everyday use. Rather than that I can only say I like the look of it.
Oh really? that's interesting, thanks for the info đ
@@GearfortheGirls it would be more interesting if you can do reviews for Waterfield Designs and Trakke bags.
unwatchable! you're a terrible reviewer
thanks for the support dude đ
nah pickpockets will love that bag if the fasteners are magnets instead
good point
