    Thank you for sharing your beautiful mom's salad, it looks delicious. I lost my mum a few months ago and miss all her German cooking. So many of your recipes I was bought up on and enjoyed. I remember ever dinner had a salad made with vinegar and I miss the taste. I'm making this salad for dinner tonight.

    Ich nahm an, dass du Grad Celsius mit Grad Fahrenheit verwechselt hast. Mit der umgerechneten Temperatur von 160-180°C war es super - danke, ich liebe es! :)

    Ein kleiner Tipp um das Brot "saftiger" zu machen, 110 gr trockene Brotreste mit 140 gr kochendem Wasser zu überbrühen und dann zu pürieren und abgekühlt zum Teig zu geben. Traditionelle Bäcker machen das heute noch so, das Brot bleibt auch dadurch viel länger frisch. LG aus Bayern🙋🏻‍♀️🏞️🏘️

    Pabst blue ribbon from German stein hummmmmm saw the can.....I'd recommend weienstephener Vitus with this meal...recipe looks good anyway

      @@francel8605 get yourself a sourdough starter first, you can buy them on ebay, try California gold rush or black death or seitenbacher starter. Probably what he uses here is seitenbacher but the author can confirm if he wishes.

      Thanks! We use mostly cast iron, Smithey is our new favorite but lots of Le Creuset too.
