Sorry for coming in so late! Question: I have Windows 11, so do I still have to enable my laptop microphone, and if I'm using VB cable, will the microphone force me to record background noise? I take part in ARRL FMT (Frequency Measurement Test) events every April & November, and I need to determine the most accurate estimate of received Frequency. Will the recording be a ".WAV" file?
Unable to use direct entry as the display is stuck in band specific and will only allow frequencies within that band. How do you input frequencies outside specific bands ?
Click KeyPad instead of Bands, under the band list. That changes the mode to keypad. This is one of the problems with having different modes in a user interface.
Sometimes i can tune way down... to 24 khz and sometimes i can not... very strange. SDRUno stops sometimes... like 2000 khz... why is this?

No, not that I am aware of but numerous 3rd party standalone decoders like WXtoIMG

Thank you for the informative video. As of Apr 11, 2024, I just installed SDRconnect and it is operational. I just created a secondary VRX display, but there is no X to close that display. ------ Oh ----- I can just barely see the X, which is EXTREMELY faint!

i would like to use SDR to locate the source of broadband noise in my sw receiver on 3.8 Mhz by cruising the neighborhood with the appropriate antennae. Measuring the amplitude of said noise with regard to FCC limits would be a plus if the noise source is uncooperative for official complaint with measurements stated

why if I right click on the frequency it changes yellow and gets stuck?
I don't know why, I've had no reports of that happening. Right clicking the spectrum in SDRconnect does not lock my VFO
@@SDRplayHamGuides right click the frequency counter/selector, (the numbers at the top used to scroll between frequencies).
If you right click the frequecy readout, that will place SDR-Connect into direct frequency entry mode. Hit ESC on your keyboard to exit this mode.
How do you enable HRD mode for the RSPdx?
HDR mode is ONLY selected when using one of the framed bands below 2 MHz.

I plugged my new RSP1B into my desktop before installing the SDRConnect software because I did not know ahead of time that was the wrong procedure. Now SDRConnect does not find the RSP1B. Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm thinking of installing SDR Uno and doing it right. Is that going to work now that I've already allowed the device to be installed by Windows when I plugged it in the first time?

Verify that the IF AGC is checked (enabled) in SDRuno and then adjust your RF GAIN as high as possible without creating an overload condition.

There is no rig control in SDRconnect yet. This is a feature that we plan to add in the future. I cannot yet give a schedule for when this might be done as there are still other items that we plan to add first.
i bought a patch the same antenna and the sdr blog v4 dongle but do not see any signals anywhere do i need a LNA also. was thinking this is all you needed to see signals
No LNA needed. The BIAS-T of the device will power it.
Is there anyway to centre the spectrum on the entered frequency? I'm finding that the wanted freq lands on the slope of the filter at times and I have to scroll some ways past the desired freq in order to get it in a flat part of the spectrum. (Hope that all made sense.)
No, not as of yet. I usually have the spectrum fully zoomed out and the VFO a bit off center before manually entering frequecies.

No, because of technical reasons relating to the core networking features and the lack of an on-board EEPROM on the RSP1, it was not possible to support this device withing SDRconnect

If your PC does not have a serial port you can research using a virtual com port or a USB to serial converter.

As always, nice job Mike. Two questions: 1. Why do I see entries in the plugin window disappearing and what appears to be changing on an already displayed line of text instead of just scrolling off the the screen? I guess I don't understand t5he methodology of how the data is being displayed. 2. Is the a logging function for the plugin to have a running list of decodes saved somewhere? Likely after x amount of minutes it drops and replaces it with new spot when received.There is no loggin within the plugin itself but I believe you can log spot using a third parties application like planeplotter or similar. www.sdrplay.com/docs/ADSBpluginBeta.pdf

Hi Good video very helpful. Can you please please make a similar video about the notch filter? I have a problem with some form of intruder QRM during most of the day on 7.160MHz generally thought to be a frequency agile over horizon radar pulse. It appears as two distinct tones so in theory a couple of notch filters might be able to reduce it. I have spent the afternoon "exploring" the notch filters but just "can't get the hang" of them. 73 Dave GM4NFI😇

Hi Mike, I get a popup error when trying to run this plugin in under 1.42.1014. The message is about dependencies. so I went to the link you have in this comment thread and saw a folder with a zip file called dependencies_release_x64. Looking at the unzipped files, I have no idea what I am supposed to do at that point. You mentioned there is a list of steps. I haven't found such a list. Will these changes, once implemented affect other programs? Kindly help when you get a few minutes. Your videos are excellent and I have used them a lot! I like blue backgrounds for my wallpaper. Any chance for a copy of the one you use for your videos? Thanks.
The dependecies should live in your SDRuno installation folder. You can email software@sdrplay.com They can provide you with a copy of the wallpaper.
