We are a retired couple that have left the corporate world behind. We now live, travel and work part-time on our 1975 30ft Islander Bahamas sailboat. Over the past several years we have completed many up-grades and are learning to sail on the Chesapeake Bay.
We are now ready, or we think we are ready to start exploring the ICW south, the Bahamas, Caribbean and perhaps more.

Your prop walk obviously pulls the boat to port.
What means '36 seas'?
What does '37 seas' refer to?
No one knows for sure, that was the name that came with the boat. But Buddha said there are 6 senses, sight, sound, taste, touch, smell, and enlightenment/spatial awareness. When you are piece, your senses are enhanced by 6 thus when we are out sailing we are at piece and our senses are now at 37, 1 + 6*6. Any way that is the story I was telling. But I did change the name to EPICUREAN, in search of the 5 senses! thanks for watching

How do you tension the headstay with a roller furler? You cant use the tensioner device with the foil on.

I grew up on the Chesapeake. My Dad was a WWII vet and LOVED the Bay. He won most the regattas on the Eastern Shore at one time or another. He's passed now, but if you mention Capt'n Don Dunn around Rock Hall, you might meet a few old timers who remember him. Your advice is great, and right on point! I would only add to the sailors out there that "light and variable" is a real thing on the Chesapeake!

Another option when working with nuts that require a larger socket that isn’t typically found in the average socket. The national auto parts chains might have inch plus socket sets as part of their free loaner tool sets.

Great job. I will be retiring hopefully at the end of 2024, and have been fixing up my 33" sailboat, which I bought in 2016, and was by myself (separated), and my wife and I got again together, and we'll retire 25/75 % anchorage/marinas ratio, but Aruba, ABC island, or BVI, it's the planned final destination in a couple of years, which things could change.
Try spraying the the fitting on the heater liquid wrench and let soak. I couldn’t tell from your description if it is possible to strike the fitting with a couple of sharp blows when you try to turn turn it with the the wrench. Be patient and repeat the liquid wrench trying to loosen and maybe tighten a little just to get some sort of movement.
thanks i will the liquid wrench, It is difficult to get the hammer or other tool on there, I may have to remove the cage that is around the shift and throttle cables

I am sorry for this. It is working on my computer and tablet. I have heard of this issue from other CZcamsrs. Please try it again in an hour or so, is what i have been told. Also here is some other advice I was having that problem where I lost sound on part or all of videos that used to have sound and I just stumbled on this and it seemed to fix the problem. This is for Windows 11, so I’m not sure how to get to it on other operating systems, but if you are using Windows 11 right click on the sound icon in the task bar, click sound settings, and click the button where it says Mono Audio to the On position. Hope this helps

you roll the pain on and then LIGHLY go over it with the tip of the paint brush, use a high quality paint brush thnaks for watchihg

Watch those mast attachments. I was on a new boat and the spinnaker sheets jumping around yanked the mast light right off. (And sure spinnaker or kite.. shouldn't do that, but there's a learning curve. ) And none of those operational steps are self explanatory. Definitely a cheat sheet is needed.
