One day I do the same in small sail boat from South Africa on Alantic to Britain 7000 miles. DEPORTED after six years in Britain. Grand parents from Britain. High unemployment rate in South Africa. 13 million people.

I loved my lazer! Best feature was its ability to handle rough conditions. It cant sink, never floods and is easily righted if it capsizes.

The skill require to sail like this is awesome, very real. No wonder so many world class sailors, sailed Lasers & J24's, tough competition of large global fleets is awesome. Just bought a Laser and resumed sailing one after a 22 year gap. Such a thrill and challenge after bigger boats.

When I used to reach the top speed with my old school laser I remember water spitted out from the dagger board and the front of the rudder :) . I really had some real fun with this boat.

It takes ten thousand years to grow and inch of topsoil.
