After editing this video the HSP isn't the only thing that needs to loose some weight.....but quitting smoking will do that to you. In this video I check out how much weight I can drop in the HSP by changing to a lightweight motor mount and spur gear.

Taking a look at another HSP RC car, this time its the Mongoose 2wd buggy. This is a standard rear motor 2wd that performs well. The best part is these cars wont break the bank if you just want to test the water so to speak.

can it fully clear the big double on the st ives track?
Not as it is, throw a big brushless system in and it shouldn't be a problem.
so you want less weight but i see many upgrading hsp touring car parts from plastic ti metal...what is better? i have the stock plastic hsp touring car and a spare metal spur but stock is nylon and chewed easily with rocks...
Just bought the storm, good to see it has lots of upgrade parts. Pretty good for a cheaper model. Nice review!

You should try Bleheim park track, it's got more people there and more cars (predominately buggies)!

Totally, a very inexpensive way to try 2wd buggy.
How does it drift compared to a RWD car?
I have not really hadany in hand experience with RWD drifting, but by the looks of it RWD has more control to throw it around corners better. I will be doing a comparison in a future video.
awd is more for beginners cuz the car doesnt go into big angles fast, rwd is more for pros

Do you need to oil the bearings?
Hey man I don’t know if it’s too late but you don’t necessarily have to but if you do Schumacher racing do make a type of oil called X1 that works well.

Very nice car. Love the treatment on the rims. It's nice that they put screen on the openings of the brushed motor. Great advice on seating the brushes on the first run. I have both the brushed and brushless versions of the SunFire and they are both great cars.

Hello David I’m watching your videos as I’m Building the TT02 escort custom at the moment I plan on running the stock torque motor and esc with 2S lipo Question is what size of pinion Gear are you running I’m like your self from what I see the stock setup is a bit slow so I want to upgrade my pinion gear what size do you recommend and thanks for these great videos

The problem of Mongo-pushing is that you handicape yourself in countless situations of learning new tricks. A Fun fact but true: Mongo pusher’s are very talented to learn "No Comply's". Seriously! Because of the stance after pushing is almost the half of completing a No Comply (180's or other variations of this trick) PS: oh whow, can’t believe that I found a positive fact about Mongo-Pushing⁉️ 😳 / 😉😆✌🏼

I’m gonna try this but for pushing switch, I don’t even know how to push mongo switch and I feel like this is gonna be a lot more confortable
Its easier to just skate switch honestly. Basically still pushing mongo but you're setup on the board correctly.
It’s taken me 5 months to become comfortable I’m glad I did it though, there is a big difference
Yeah one day i just decided to push regular and to stop pushing mongo it feels way better
