Cheeky little crawl at the quarry near Cathedral cave, Ambleside

Out with my boy with our GMade R1s for a compulsory crawl while on holiday.

The GMade is running on a Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion SE 1800kv motor which gives excellent slow control and lots of torque. It's been upgraded with Capra axles and metal beadlocks. Tout quarry is an excellent place to go with crawlers/trail trucks. There is a huge area with rocky paths, boulders etc. that can suit any ability to hone their skills or just have a bit of fun. In this video we have my son's 1:10 Carisma SCA-1E and my full custom built crawler/trail trucks. Rhododendron mile in Puddletown forset, Dorset is perfect for trailing. The mossy ground cover and twigs look like scale terrain against these.

The clay cliffs are perfect for crawling on with a wide variety of paths and challenging slopes. The dried up, cracked clay can help traction but also crumbles easily meaning the wheels just dig a hole. The grey is fully custom as is the brown. Red - MJX Hyper Go 14209 Gold - MJX Hyper Go 14210 LC Racing truggy kit Stuck some cones out (£16 for 40 on Amazon!) and had a bit of a race/bash on some short grass. Great speed out of these little cars on 2S! Loads of fun!

Brown - fully custom LCG rig Red - GMade R1 Blue - FTX Outback Paso

The red car is the MJX Hyper Go 14209 on 2S LiPo, the gold is the MJX Hyper Go 14210 on 2S LiPo and the blue is a kit build LC Racing truggy on 3S LiPo. Great fun bashing around grass carpark around some cones. All fast, fun and capable RC cars.

The brown and grey crawlers are both full custom built crawlers out for their first run in the woods. Great place to go for various challenges such as rocks, roots, fallen branches, tree stumps and dirt slopes. The blue crawler is a customised FTX Outback Paso.
