Interesting process but am against 4K remastering that way as it simply just stretches the image, what they should do is smmothing out all jaggyness caused by upscaling the sd definition signal.
Pfff sooo much litteraly cut & pasting stuff in a video tape and all without overlapping and distortion transition, that’s absolute insane, respect to those workers.

This is why moves were bad all the way till the DVD format. Blu Ray is when they started to scan the negatives. You could say that you have been watching cam rips.
I love the Strawbs and first encountered them in 1977 when the "Burnin' For You" album came out and Heartbreaker was getting airplay here in the States. It's really amazing how long they have been around and how much great music they have made over the years.
that time editing and Animating was only done by production house but now a kid also can edit a video at home by only using a laptop or computer.....
Yeah, I get that. But how on earth would they edit multicam? Like concerts or theatre performances filmed with 6 or 8 cameras? How could they keep that all in sync and preview everything?

Why is a girl at 2:53?
The picture of a girl in the film leader (sometimes called a China Girl) was a crude way of checking that the film processing had worked OK, and that the flesh tone colours looked as they should.
Now you can do it all on your laptop!
Can it scan to 4K/8K ?

Phil S I suppose they have now replaced them with new 4K/8K scanners then? SD is not acceptable anymore.
@@MVEProducties 35mm film has at least the resolution of HD or 2K video, but probably not as much as a static 4K image. Blackmagic are keen to sell you their Cintel / Blackmagic film scanner by telling you that all your archive 35mm film has 4K resolution, but although it's probably greater than 2K, expecting a pristine 4K image is maybe a bit optimistic. I very much doubt 8K scanning would yield any benefits at all.
