Attack, The Storm, The Deep - Ka, Cirque du Soleil

Sorry for the somewhat low quality of the video. The Valets perform. The Archers attack and the twins escape. Brother is wounded and knocked off the boat and the Court Jester jumps off to care for him. Sister, the Nursemaid, the Valets, and others are thrown into a storm at sea and are capsized. Sister saves the Nursemaid from drowning.

Ka runs at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Unfortuantely I don't speak French so cannot provide translation for the beginning. In this part the twins, Sister and Brother, return home to their parents and the kingdom celebrates.
Too bad this was filmed on a potato, Cirque is awesome.
I loved how the music just changed when the attack was about to begin. I wasn't even paying attention to those attackers in the background until the music started changing.
Buena actuacion
Is his album all instrumental?
Its the Full Show on Arte Mediathek?
Robin Hood of the Ballads say King was Edward... a Prioress of Kirkly... here we go.... a Prioress is a woman in charge of nuns... and Kirkly in 1400s England during reign of King Edward means "Church Fields"... later on, that place Kirkly was renamed the Benefice of Lower Wensleydale... there are 6 churches there that make a face... Look at St. Marys Church... just about 350 yards east is Hornby Castle... Home of the Conyers at one time... Sir John Conyers Jr was the Robin Hood of the Ballads aka Robin of Redesdale... just not the first to use name... he was leader of the York Knights... Sir Robert Hulderne was Robin of Holderness...he was Captain of the York Rebels.... there is only one record of a man using name Friar Tuck in 1417 and 1429... Sir John Conyers was in mid 20s age when he met Friar Tuck age mid 50s.... : )
started buying his music on tapes each year when we went to the Ren fair in las vegas weave have since upgraded to dvd,s i believe i have most if not all of them
*minstrel twerking*
So beautiful!!! Would it be alright to use this instrumental for a vocal cover? Of course I would give full credit of the music to the owner.
I've seen the attack scene so many times, but man the whiplash it gives me still kills me every time
fantastic
One of the best music I never heard
I like the fluets 😂
I been trying to find this scene for a very long time! Thank you for posting this!
The only DVD available for purchase id "KA Extreme" I have been looking everywhere for a download of the show when it was first filmed and i cannot find it anywhere> I know that it was filmed professionally because of the header in this snippet. It was aired in France and Germany with the original cast. If anyone is able to find a download for our own personal use, it is welcome.
where in the world did you find this and where can I see the full performance
Las vegas
do u by any chance have the full version of this ....I think it was a special or something? I would love to see the whole thing
This is excellent....
I really do need to buy that .. It's really great. Richard Searles would be great I think to make a medieval soundtrack
He did, I think it called Dance of the Renaissance, it does sound medieval though. One of my favorite albums.
Searles isn't soothing. I like that.
A performer from KA died yesterday in Las Vegas from a fall- how tragic.
itunes
Just saw KA this weekend. It was astonishing! The effects were as artistic as they were dramatic. The creativity and concepts, the stage machinery, and the flawless execution, all perfection.
But there you will find the original soundtrack
Search: KA Soundtrack 02 - Pageant by humanpersonguy youtube won't let me post the link directly. *rolls eyes*
Here is the original.. the difference is a world apart.
The girl singing is not the original.. She has nowhere near the power in her voice that the original singer does. nor does he break his voice in that way..do not like her.
Disagree - while she is not the original, she brings a new and dynamic quality to the song and makes it her own with trills. I like both!
The most amazing performance I have ever seen. KA was freaking unbelievable.
I like the begging with the books
Those are Cigar boxes painted to look like books.

We have this to dance to in ballet grade 4! I'm only 10 but I love this song so much!
I love the beat on this song. Awesome! Very rich sound!
Wow
Unbelivable
The BEST vegas show I've seen next to Le Reve! I don't normally feel that sad whenever something tragic happens in a play, but during the storm and drowning moments, I actually felt like I was about to cry. Mostly it was because of the deep, emotional music. Hearing the Drowning music again still makes me choke up a bit! But on a cheerful note, again, this is an amazing show! Great action, great music, great stunts! A must see! LOVE THIS!
Very good, very good. Thanks!
@davidrichards188 loool thats hilarious!!
i've always wondered how they make the arrows hit them...is it magnetic or something
I wonder too BUT! i looked at the queen chracther and in her back looked something similar to the arrow its possible the arrow swiftly falls out but i gotta be honest i think they really fire them and it hits them and they have GOOD aim
And I thought totem looked good was good. :) Wow cool. Anyone know what language this song is in?
6:30 - 8:08 Why was this not on the soundtrack?! That was my favorite part!
@kslagerman I do not believe that track is on the soundtrack. It's is a part of the cue called 'music box' in the show. As is often the case with soundtracks for cirque shows, the music is edited and out of order.
beautifull!
Amo este espectaculo, de lo mas maravilloso que he podido ver =)
i love the music
i was there... FANTASTIC
Any name for the track that plays during the first minute of this segment? I'm not sure it's on the official soundtrack.
I like it!
breathtaking!! this show was just amazing!! i so want to see it again!! I LOVED IT!!!! the music was just.. man i dont have words to explain how cool it was!!!
WOW!!!
your information about this video is incorrect. This scene happens before the twins are separated. It is not a celebration of their return, but just the kingdom celebrating life
As stated in the story outline for the show, the pageant is a celebration of the twins returning home after a long journey. During the pageant tragedy befalls them as their kingdom is attacked forcing them apart.
