Hello Great video. My problem is a bit different a message came up saying please take load off steering and the car would not start. but the steering did not lock like it normally does. Instead when I put in key I hear the noise like it wants to unlock but twice. This was happening with the mmi screen coming on and the date signal on the dash coming on. After seeing on an Audi forum a post to turn steering wheel 180 degrees with foot on the brakes and try to start. Did this but to no avail. Unfortunatly now the mmi not coming on and no date signal on dash but still noise like it is trying to unlock but twice. any advise?
Fix steering lock first mate. He is the main problem.

Where can I find the ODIS patch to activate the digital speed in the cluster instrument?
i keep getting message on dash ''ignition lock defective'' , will it cure if cut the wire, as sometimes car is ''dead'' when insert key and cant start until try more and more times...
Dont cut wires is car is dead. It needs to be vut when you get ignition on. Only solution is take out steering lock now.
@@carsolutions1164 at the moment all works, but sometimes i get this ''ignition defective'' im curious will it fix if i unlock steering wheel, and cut the wire . or that error is somehow to do with ignition not lock mechanism?

Hi, if you cut the red/black wire you ok. You will never have that issue ever.

Hello, so I did everything accordingly and the car still won’t pull the codes, some modules it is able to reach and others it can’t reach. Could the steering lock actuator have failed? I know it can get stuck and clearing codes can fix it and unlock it but since I’m not able to pull the codes then I’m guessing it failed and I need to replace it. Any help would be great thanks
Could be faulty lock.
Flash the high beam 3 times and you can reed the foult and reset it !

Someone forced second cd in to it. So there was two cd`s in one slot. After I took it out it needed to do adjustment of all that .

Manually power 7th fuse on the driver side with +12v and then try to read and reset codes.

you need odis engineering and do some cluster flashing.
