Get face to face with wildlife at Alexandria Zoological Park, Central Louisiana's #1 family-oriented, educational tourist attraction. Visitors of all ages can reconnect with nature in a beautiful, natural setting that is home to more than 500 animals, including many species that are threatened or endangered.
Zoo Boo Preview
It's spooky season, y'all! Enjoy the sights, sounds, and interactive family fun at Cenla’s "wildest" family-friendly Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, October 21 from 10 AM - 6 PM (last entry 4 PM).
Trick-or-treat down Treat Street, have a skele-ton of fun with interactive games and a bubble dance party in the Funny Bones Zone, saddle up for some udderly awesome activities at Fall on the Farm, and meet some of your favorite characters along Fantasy Lane. Watch zoo animals get in on the fun with Halloween themed enrichment and hop aboard the train to see even more spooktacular scenery.
There will be four in-person admission lines plus an express entry for Fast Pass tickets purchased online through the Zoo’s website.

Hurricane Laura ripped through the Zoo, damaging more than 20 animal habitats, countless fences, several roofs, and tumbled trees like dominoes. It is with sincere gratitude that we thank both our Central Louisiana community and our zoo community for their assistance during these trying times. We will be back. And we will see you again soon.

Always when I see cubs of wild animals, I wonder where their mom is. Sometimes I think, the cubs were causeless and deliberately taken away from their mom.

It's funny because when I was looking at their faces I started thinking that their faces are so different from other deer and that they kind of look like a predator in the face and what do you know they have sharp teeth and hunt for prey.
