Hey CZcams just a quick video of my first trail ride, brake in ride. love the bike its a lot of fun it rips it has the dyno jet stage one tune runs nice and cool with better response

I just bought one and it doesn’t go over 65mph. Is there a speed limiter/break in period?
I have the dyno jet tune never ran it stock mine does like 75
Was there speed/RPM limit? Mine is brand new and limited
How do you like the bike? Enough power or not enough?
It’s good I like it so far. I was worried about the 650 not being fun enough I was after the 1000 but around my area they are really hard to get. They only get 2 a year. But yeah it’s fast and comfortable to ride sport mode eats gas lol. It will wheelie in low no problem

I didn’t like the brp ones the have like a long tail on the back of them I really didn’t like

Just a dyno jet tune fender flares hand guards. Once it’s broke in I wanna do the clutches

When setting the idle did you need to mess with the metering rod or were you able to do it with the idle screw?

Any pros and cons?
The fastest I’ve had it so far is 100kmh but it will go faster it’s not broke in yet. I bought the 650 because I couldn’t get my hands on a 1000 until this fall and I didn’t wanna wait I’ll have to get it out and really test it trails are still closed around here for spring thaw.

Did you have to adjust the Billetron after installing it, or did everything work fine?
My was fine right out of the box a little rich but that’s how i like it never fouled a plug. And I purposely tried just to test it when I got it. It would just keep going. 1 spark plug all season.

No in Agusta county it's in Ontario Canada. Place is amazing. It's massive.
Well, if the single track trails here in Western South Dakota were as mild as that, this 60+ year old would go much faster than I do right now. We have trees in the way, rocky, (as in boulders at points), tight woods, and sometimes, all at the same exact time! LOL Looks like a good time, and the 250X is on my short list...but, as an older rider, the 4 strokes are so much easier to control.
The place in this video is controlled by the county you need a trail pass which they take that money and maintain the trails. Mostly to cover there own asses lol..but it's a nice place we don't have a lot of hills or rocks sometimes it's good to have options. This is all smooth..
I have a 2017 YZ250X with a SmartCarb and a Scotts stabilizer. STUPID amounts of fun to ride BRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPP!!🤘
The engine will last a lot longer when not running so lean, that alone is worth it IMO. Plus, its nice to uncork the potential. I bought an EJK instead, $250

Yeah it's just a small spot beside my houses most of the trails around here are closed for the season.

How long do you usually get from a tank? Hour wise?
Hard to know for sure...I fill it ride for 2hours or so and it's usually under half. But that's with the LECTRON which is a lot better over stock aperently.

In Agusta county in Canada. Hundreds of acres Of trails and single track I've been riding at that spot 10 years still find new stuff all the time lol..it's an awesome spot.
How is 1st gear is it really slow for the tight stuff

How are you liking the bike
I like it a lot. It does well in the woods. Lectron carb helps a lot. lug a all day never fouled a plug in it. Still has the old 2stroke feel and vibration. But you get use to it.
Which Pro Taper bars do you have on there? I have a ‘22 YZ250X and I need to replace my stock bars…thinking about Pro Taper Evo but not sure which bend?
Carmichael bend evo my favorite bars. It's all confusing on the web site honestly lol

Just the LECTRON performance wise. Skid plate hand guards that's it. Bike is awesome the way it is in my opinion

Is the carb new. Contact them if there is something wrong they are awesome to work with. Yeah the BILLETRON cab is way better I had the h series it wasn't as good. The BILLETRON is a lot like the stock carb no loss in power JD JETTING is another good option if u still have the stock carb
@@Trail_Blaster I got it used..the bike gurgle and sputters threw the first 1/10th then cleans up at 1/8th of the throttle then it pulls pretty good after about 1/8th of the throttle but doesn't provide as much hit as the carb..which I do have a jd kit in and it's way better off the bottom just doesn't feel better than the carb anywhere..idle is real screwy.irritatingly so.sometimes ok sometimes not..someone said richen the metering rod though on a carb I would lean pilot jet if this was happening..you got any ideas? Ya not happy with it at all
@@craigsteinman9807 honestly man contact LECTRON even if the carb is used im sure they will help u they are really good people. Or berad he's a CZcamsr he also sells the lectrons he's also very knowledgable about these carbs. He helped me with my H-series it was roughly the same as yours never got it right the BILLETRON is outstanding though. I sold mine and bought the BILLETRON I couldn't stand a pour running bike it's extremely frustrating.
@@Trail_Blaster man u aren't lying it's really irratating..alot of the right corners I just need a little power to push me through a pebble or loose rock garden and I am washing the front end..not getting the push thanks for the info
How is the 250x compared to regular 250??
For the bush It's way better. I've had both and I prefer the way the 250x delivers power. It's awesome honestly. LECTRON really helps keep things clean. It still has a tone of power. Mines a 2021 so the new ones are apparently even better not sure never rode one.

It does it’s still very powerful off the bottom, but not nearly as bad as the stock carb it will lug all day.
Nice bike. Been thinking about one for a while. With the new carb setup, did it smooth it out any ? I’m no the fence between the 125 x ,and the 250 x. Would like the 250 x just cause I think it would be better in the sand that we have in Michigan, and sand woops . I’ve see we’re some people have retarded the timing a little, and said it helped calm it down some ? And used a flywheel too. I’m coming off a 4 stroke and like the smooth power.
Yeah honestly I'm getting a flywheel wait as well the lectron makes it better than stock but the new billetron carb has a lot of low end hit. I find its not much different then stock but I've never stalled in the slow sections. It has no hesitation and it's snappy. I have ride the 125x and it's a fantastic bike as well. Only reason I got the 250 was availability. When I started looking I couldn't find one in a 400 mile radius around me but 250 was everywhere. I'm a small guy only 140lb so the 250 is very fast for trails but does extremely well..it all depends on how fast you want to go. But the 125 for single track is the better choice in my opinion. But everyone has a different one lol..

Yeah I couldn't get a smart carb in Canada it was insanely expensive.. but I agree keep it. Things an animal
@@Trail_Blaster for sure the damn thing was VERY pricey lol. I was debating between the SmartCarb and the Lectron but I ultimately went with the SmartCarb for certain features. I ride mostly open desert here in southern CA and I spend a lot of time WOT so I needed good fuel atomization and a stabilizer for high speeds.
Sick trails bro, i ride stuff just like this, i love my yz250x, its my first 2 stroke, so much fun, and i shit on people in the woods. People have a hard time keeping up! This bike rips so hard!

What are your thoughts on the bike?
I honestly love the bike. It's definitely the best 2t I ever owned.. I mostly like how it handles so light and easy to ride. As for the power in my opinion it's awesome I have no mods other than the lectron. But it's doesn't gain any HP from that really. I will be doing a full end riding season review on it in November.
You think it's enough power I'm not sure how the wide gear ratios and compression change will be.I need some hold on for dear life power
Honestly man it's fast af it's still a 250. The power is there it just comes on a little different it still fires the tire in the air anytime u want
Glad to hear does it powerwheelie and stuff like that like you said it's still a 250 I just really don't know how mellowed out I still want the 2 stroke feel I'm hoping that's still there with the powerband

@@scenicmx8626 top speed wise it's absolutely faster. Honestly I've rode the regular 250 and mine back to back and the only thing is 250x the powerband is smother and seems longer. Maybe that's just me but 250x is fast no doubt about
Yes I originally wanted the YZ450FX just thought the 250x would be much better for racing hard enduro I have done hard enduro my whole life so I thought I should try and race it I really appreciate the info
Does yours feel softer off idle? I’ve got no complaints with my billetron mid to top, but it seems to not like wheelies off idle at all.
No mine wheelies right away. It's also brand new so I don't know maybe once it gets more hours on it may slow down a bit.
@@Trail_Blaster Gotcha. Mines not an X, so I guess you have a lower 1st gear which helps. I’ve got a pretty fresh top end though (under 20hrs). It just felt like it had more grunt off idle with the keihin, but the lectron runs way better everywhere else.
@@Mr_Eyeholes yeah the regular yz is much better up mid/top but the x down low I find is a bit more responsive. Both amazing bikes though.
