this is one of my favorite runs there. Usually NOBODY is on it. But it does not seem to have enough snow on it until mid-late Feb.

I had watched this video a couple of months ago in preparation for my Big Sky trip. I thought to myself “ I can do that!” Although it looked a little steep, it looked smooth as silk. When I got there and started down the run, I got over the main hump and was able to see all the way down. Nothing but chop and moguls. I thought “ What the hell?” It was too late. I had come too far and was already committed. I wasn’t about to remove my skis and climb back up. Needless to say, it was the roughest run I had been on. After finally reaching bottom in one piece, I rode the lift back up and struck-up a conversation with another rider. I told him that I had seen a video of this run and it was smooth. I also mentioed that it looks smooth on Fatmap and Google Earth, especially in comparison to its neighbor Elk Park Ridge, which you can clearly see moguls on in both those apps. He stated that they had not groomed it in a while. I would never have imagined that a ski run could grow moguls that quickly. I will be uploading the video of me and my adventure within a couple of weeks as proof it sure can wear a different face at times. I suppose in the end I learned a little something from it. It gave me a little courage to try others I might not have. Love your vids!

I have experienced that many times myself. Well done in getting to the bottom in one piece and living to tell the story! look forward to watching your vid.

    Why so slow?

There is a section in the middle of the run that gets a little flat however the rest of the run is a lot of fun.

this is like a dream! Such a long green run with little people. I'm in SoCal, and the green slope here literally end in 1 minute, and it is filled with ppl the whole run.

Nice! Gotta be a Gopro with that stabilization, right? Also because of the good sound. No other camera has been able to have both so far. Chest mounted or hand-held with gimbal?

It was recorded on a GoPro Hero5 Black with a helmet mount.

My husband and I have been watching your videos and we think you do a great job with your videos! Our family goes to Big Sky every year and we all love this ski resort. We love how your videos are so crisp and clear and show the steepness of the runs and also the beauty of the scenery. We think your vids are some of the best we have ever watched! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your kind words. We love Big Sky as well and although we have to travel from Australia think that is is worth the effort. I always like seeing the full runs as you get the feel of just how great the place is.
