Nice video, just great adventure there. Like 10 ♥
I’m due to be coming to church Stretton next week on holiday is it worth me bringing my hard tail Norco for a rip round the trails and are there trails that my mrs and teenage daughters will be likely to manage?
@@grahamhowland566 Definitely!
Never done this 👍👍👍
Well worth a visit Mate. Its a great place.
Awesome! nice riding lad :)
Cheers Mate.
Nice video mate. I need to return to the Long Mynd not been for many years. Looks like a good route, a good test for the legs for sure.
That's a stunning loop, only ever driven over there when I was repping. One for the ebike for sure, the hills are steep up there.
That’ll be the tree I hit last week!
Yep, that's the one Mate.
Nice one dude great vid
Not available the next few Sundays due to work Mate but will give you a shout when i'm next free to get out again.
Good day butty 😁👍
Good vid mate, when you come out with us, we'll show you some proper FOD Off Piste 😉🤙
Look forward to it Mate 😁
😂😂
Hey buddy, the trails you rode at the start all continue across the fireroad .
Yeah saw them Mate. Have done a few of them before but only had an hour or so so just kept it to the top ones. Want to get back up there soon as I can though and have a few hours 👍
Hey, Mark the colorful language told me all I need to know about this trail today - a tad wet still and uneven in places. 'Green to the door' though. All the best. Mark
Those ferns have shot up in the ladt two weeks😮
They have!
It's over a year since I've rode barnhill trails 😳😩😔😔😔😔
nice vid
Crazy how the ferns are all up and growing now , I need to get up there
Good work bud, hopefully the weather is on the turn now 🤞
FOD is a slop fest lately after all the rain we have had , I feel your pain with the brakes 😅
Good effort, mate. It's wetter than an otters' pocket.
A wet one there Mark - more challenging than a dry run I'd say. Ha, you sounded like Godzilla there mate with the brakes. Good going. Mark
Chuckled at the thumbnail title.. That's what it's all about for me, getting out and laughing at myself. My brakes were noisy until I swapped the rotors to floating ones and sintered pads. I'm back on the Giant Trance pedaller as my eeb with Yamaha motor has error code 73 points at battery, possibly water ingress. Riding Blade and Whites Level with mahossive puddles did it. Let's hope the weatherman brings some good news for Spring.
🤣😂🤣😂😂 looks a tad moist mark 👍
Love a good muddy day out
I dont think that trail is ever dry 😛
Great stuff👌, really must get back to FOD haven’t been there for ages.
Tidy one there Mark,
Good to see you back in the forest Mark and doing some off-piste. It's gotta be one of the most reliable sites for you I reckon. A clean run it looked. All the best. Mark
Nice one doing that off-piste stuff, I have no confidence doing stuff like that. Quick question, what brakes do you use and pads? I'm changing both front and rear after 9 rides (which was 240kms with 6000 metres elevation gain, mainly red trails like Cwmcarn, FOD, nothing crazy steep like Barry Sidings, Smilog, FOD off-piste or Afan masts etc I'd hate to think how quickly my 14 stone plus rucksack with 2 litre water, spare chain, food and proper tools would do to speed up the pads wearing out). I put sintered in the back and cermaic in the front and they are SRAM DB8 brakes, seem ok on red trails. The bike weighs 26kgs. is this normal. Cheers mate, glad to see you back on it
Hi Rich. They are SRAM something or other. Can’t remember the exact ones without having a look at them. The pads are just cheap ones off Amazon. They do seem to last for ages. Wouldn’t say they are amazing but they seem to work okay most of the time for me. Will find the Amazon link and forward on for you.

@@5492sparky Thanks m8👍
Wellcome back buddy
Cheers Mate.
Well done 👍... but you need to try Hardknott without the helping push of an electric motor for the real experience 😂 czcams.com/video/PEOxlb16wJg/video.htmlsi=ATxQBZsbCDtAVB_V
Can you do a CZcams video vlog and review on a sergeant Brothers depot in Hereford which is located on Faraday Road in Hereford
Is that the bus people?
@@5492sparky yes it is
@@rebeccadowns8903 Well I’m no pro filmmaker but yeah why not!
I really enjoyed that Mark end to end. So good to see the Black Mountains ride so well. Great conditions but heck do you get a rattle on. No wonder your fingers were shot. Lovely stuff. Mark
You got any free time next week mate. Be good to catch up and go for a ride.
Sorry to hear of the motivation Mark. As for the riding we all get rusty on some things - that's allowed. I'm sure you'll pick the rhythm up again. It's there. All the best. Mark
Nothing wrong with your riding mate, your out in the forest enjoying life! Fod is a pain in the wet ☔
Nowt wrong with it butty 😁👍 my god I've missed my bike haven't rode the FoD all year 😩😩😩 need a catch up soon
Have you even got a bike 🤷🏻♂️🤗
I wouldn’t worry too much about your bad riding, at least your out there having a go. Didn’t look too bad to me anyway, probably better than mine 🤣🤣
I loved Hereford i lived on Mayne avenue over next to the old SAS camp i worked at bulmers i had a few jobs but bulmers was my best job my mates still down there great place to live i loved jumping off the vicky bridge into the wye great video mate
Thanks Mate. Great to hear from you. How long ago did you move away?
@@5492sparky it was about 2006 I worked in the little wine shop on commercial road as well I've still a couple of mates down there but it's really a great place to stay
How’s his bike so quite when he lands
Fair play 😎🤘 !!
i'll be up there today and tomorrow, been wanting to ride here for ages
Have a great one. 👍
Looks awesome. Do you have a Garmin course / Strava for this route?
Hi Mate. Yes, search Strava for Mark Collingwood (has an Hereford MTB badge as the profile pic). It will be on there Mynydd Troed, Llangorse and Allt will be the ride name.
Hey, great to see you out there on that trail Mark and see the sights we all love. You had a cracking day for it. Good going. Mark
Nice one butty haven't been up there for a few years 👍😁
Another tidy ride mate 👍
Very nice loop that. Great effort doing that one on a stumpy. Inspired to get up to the beacons now.
Cheers Mate. You should do. I might actually get back up there tomorrow and do something else.
How’s the shoulder holding up
Lush being able to ride FOD after work. Sticky brake piston, on one side. Had the same issue on a front Shimano SLX caliper. Took it apart and I could see the piston was sticking so took that out and deep cleaned the piston and calipr. PITA though and took couple hours. Got it working but bought a replacement XT front brake just in case it goes again. Hope you get it sorted.
Don’t get me started on the dingy situation. Anyway Mark you have rode that last track before. Although it may have changed slightly. Or your line choice has. As we’ve rode it a few times. Im sure.
Loves these trails for a quick power hour after work bud
They are great Mate. Bloody hard work though getting up there on a regular bike!
Well done
