Apple Intelligence runs in three tiers: 1. An on device Apple generative model (probably OpenELM) which has access your all your on device personal information. If this AI is unable to process the request, it falls down to: 2. A larger Apple generative model running in Apple data centers called Private Cloud Compute. This runs on higher powered Apple Silicon based servers with more memory and stronger neural engines via an encrypted pipe. The OS running PCC does no logging and deletes the requet and responses after the request is satisfied, and features the same level of data security as the on device model. 3. If PCC fails and the user has opted to use 3rd party generative AI models, the user is prompted if he/she would like the request forwarded to the 3rd party AI provider. If the user assents, the request is forwarded to the 3rd party AI provider with minimal data on an encrypted anonymized link and the result is returned to the user. 3rd party AI providers (currently only ChatGPT from OpenAI) are like 3rd party search providers, except that they have to agree not to log your requests or responses nor use them as training data. 😂 IQ tests are made for machines, not to test human potential or talents. So yeah AI owned it like a champ. 1. GPT is on the internet. But no more than nuclear powerplants. So no new line has really been crossed there. 2. GPT can't code and 2 out of 3 times it doesn't provide results that make any sense. Because it has no self aware intelligence that is able to understand what code or logic even is. 3. If AI ever takes over the world, it won't be the AI, but the person behind it that tasked it with that job. AI is a command and control center for humans and only follows orders, if it is able to at all. 😂 Oftentimes it simply fails, because stupid humans trained it. So it is only a tool to be used by agencies. But all tools have a potential for a misuse.
