I rescued this rare North drumset from a moldy garage and meticulously restored it back to life. This kit is a 6/8/10/12/14 and 22, all matching serials, Italian shells. My Remo Roto Toms

I love these drums! They're some of the coolest drums ever made. You can still purchase the 6-8-10 set but the larger drums are no longer being made. Adding Bluetooth to a Roland TD-50

The TD-50 and 50x do not have Bluetooth built-in. Using a small external Bluetooth receiver, you can easily add Bluetooth to any module with a stereo Mix-in or Aux-in, and enjoy using your phone or tablet cable free.

Hi mate, I can record on PT using the midi on td27. But I can’t hear it anywhere on playback. Is there any voice assigning etc I need to know? Also which channel do I need to select
Yes, make sure the 27's Driver Mode is set to "Vendor." Then open some audio tracks and set the inputs accordingly....Track# 1= stereo Ch1-2 MASTER OUT 2 = stereo DIRECT 3-4 OUT 3 = stereo Ch5-6 KICK 4 = stereo Ch7-8 SNARE 5 = stereo Ch9-10 TOM 1 6 = stereo Ch11-12 TOM 2 7 = stereo Ch13-14 TOM 3 8=stereo Ch15-16 HI-HAT 9 = stereo Ch17-18 CRASH 1 10 = stereo Ch19-20 CRASH 2 11 = stereo Ch21-22 RIDE 12 = stereo Ch23-24 AUX 1 13 = stereo Ch25-26 AUX 2 14 = stereo Ch27-28 AUX 3
@@OfficialDarenPfeifer thank you for the reply! I have it working now to the point of it will record, and it will play back, but only through the TD27 module, I can’t for the life of me get it to come out of my monitors which are connected to the audio interface
@@alexhooman7448 For this kind of recording, the 27 IS the interface and the DAW will see that as your output device. If you're using a Mac, you can go into your audio/midi setup and make an aggregate device that includes both the 27 and your other interface. Or if your other interface can work as a standalone, you can run the 27's output into the other interface for your monitors.

Thanks for sharing , I just upgraded to a TD 27 and the chart of usb audio output destinations is exactly what I needed to set up separate audio tracks for recording into Cubase, it’s nice to be able to actually make use of the sounds in the module

What's wrong with the original hi hat
After listening about 57 times,😂 I've come to realize that that "hihat" sounds quite tinny and a bit thin. Love the idea, but I'm not that impressed with the sound. 😢🫡🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Kinda. It’s totally flat but with a downward flange about 2” from the edge.

That’s my Mastro snare. It’s not for sale but those snares do frequent Reverb. They’re pretty cool if you can find one that’s not completely wrecked. They are all plastic after all. About $100-150 should get you a really nice one.

Yup, usually with a pic of Portnoy playing one. He still does and will probably have one on the road with Dream Theater coming up.

Yeah, the second of two big issues with this. The first being that it wasn’t a product that drummers really wanted or needed. I have the remote version as well. That one is even more EXTRA!
