This channel has no specific purpose. I mainly use it as a video-dump for clips that I use in my blog. You can probably see that I like natural swimming holes.

Well I thought they were going to start up the hill, not at the bottom, what a disappointment
The water looks cold.
sick jump there at the end bruh! strange to not see any Red Bull advertising anywhere for this
What a beautiful location
Likely right after a rain. OK. Imagine this place without water. My friend Steve Bannon (yeah, Trump's friend) and I hiked and hung here one day in the summer of 85 when it was totally barren - devoid of any hint of water. Then a surprise bigass rain and hail storm came ripping through. Without a tent we raced around until we came upon a lean-to of a rock that kept us from getting soaked. We threw a tarp over the overhang to help, and it did, and then the rain stopped so we burst out running around hoping to find a more spacious shelter. We ran right here and were amazed at the massive slide of water rushing through here that wasn't here an hour ago before the rain. WTF? Opened up our brains some.
Every Steve I’ve ever seen has been morally corrupt asf..
Yeah, I know that story's a lie because you weren't murdered.
@@72marshflower15 You gotta get out more.
@@CBlargh Makes sense to you!
@@CBlargh He said Steve Bannon, not Bill Clinton. Learn to read.
In case no one figured it out...there used to be massive glaciers there, The Glaciers all melted before human caused CO2
So dumb
There used to be a bunch of trees there too. They all burned long before butane lighters were invented. Therefore, butane lighters clearly cannot burn trees. That's just logic! /S
Place looks amazing, thx for sharing
Truly beautiful
Can't wait to hit up camp 9 and the streak!
I think the streak is my favorite in California
Awesome to know youre back in nor cal! Cya out there
This was actually from 2023. I'm just waaay behind on going through my vacation videos 😂
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. 👍1
Intense 😎
Any rocks as you plunge into the water ? I always try to test the landing area first, this seems impossible to do here.
It's impossible to check first because of the current, unless maybe the river is very low in times of drought. I just watched a bunch of other people do it first, and I slid where they did.
Wow National parks are over the top
That’s interesting 😂 Nice idea 🙌
Where is this ? Nice swimming hole
It's sort of a secret spot in the Tahoe National Forest. I honestly didn't realize I made this clip public 😅
That swim hole looks fun but sketchy with that fall going right into the rocks if you slip
Yeah, there would be no way to get out of there without a rope.
Looks like a blast 💥
That’s an amazing swim hole ! Thanks for sharing this place 🙌🤩
Very beautiful place. Nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍2
Beautiful place. Great video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍19
That looks super fun Did your back side get ripped up ? Did you use a Matt ?
No, the rock was really smooth. I slid down it several times with no mat.
Awesome fall ! Thanks for sharing it 🙌
is that this year or last years upload
The video was recorded on August 23, 2023
We all got so burnt there in '75. It is like a south facing reflector oven in that polished granite bowl.
Baked or burnt?😻😹

Awesome fun slide 🙌🤩 on my bucket list now Thanks for sharing 🤩🙌
Just make sure you get up there before all the snow melts. The creek usually dries up in July, unless there was a ton of snow the winter before.
how cool
Love it😊
😍😊👍🙏
Pretty! But where is that at? Is it the same as Chilnualna fall?
It's the same creek but much farther downstream.
I jumped off the massive boulder on the right into that pothole before
Yep, I've seen that video 😁. It was unfortunately a little chilly for a swim when we visited, but I plan to get back there and also visit the ledge. We passed it up on this hike to get to the main falls at the top of the dome.
Swimming in south Carolina is horrible Myrtle beach to hilton head is flooded with sharks and extremely salty water. In land has to man gators and snakes. To the left of Greenville has a few ok spots
This spot is in the mountains near the NC state line, so no saltwater or gators here.
CONQUERED. I really appreciate your blog!!!!! Recently discovered Blue Streak thanks to you, but thanks to being on acid and my friend being no where in sight. I took longer than 30 seconds, and got psyched, climbed down to the way sketchier ones. I might go this winter if I get a wetsuit.
Thanks! Blue Streak is one of my favorite swimming holes in California (or the USA, really). I did the high jump that year just to see if I could do it, but I have no desire to try it again 😂
lol, the stoke jumpin off the medium one!! nice!
Going to try and check this out this weekend, thanks for the inspiration
How did you hike here? Like where did the "trail" begin? I walked down the creek but it wasn't easy.
I also walked down the creek. This was five years ago, but I don't recall there being any sort of trail, except maybe a scramble path down to the creek where it crossed under the road.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. This one has been on my list for years. I want to visit it before i get too old. I hear that the last scramble down to the falls is challenging.
I went there in 2021, and there were ropes to help with the second half of the descent. You'd probably be fine as long as you take it slow and watch your footing, especially toward the beginning where there are a lot of loose leaves and no ropes. I think coming back up would be the more challenging part for most people. It's not that difficult from a technical standpoint, but it's definitely a workout.
Can't wait to check it out. Thanks for sharing 😊
Make sure you check the status of the roads first. They closed them after the fire in 2020, and I'm not sure if they've reopened yet .
Where is this place located?
It's on Shirttail Creek near Colfax, California
Hi do you have instagram or email? I have some questions for you (:
House of pain!
PERFECTION
Where in Linville?
I don't want to give away the exact location, but I'll say that it's somewhere downstream of the Devil's Hole Trail (although not necessarily close to it).
How far up Thompson River from Jocassee is this slide? I was here 20 years ago but haven’t been able to find it again.
Not far. Probably about 1000 feet.
Was this recent? I'm headed up to TN in a few weeks
This was from summer 2019. I re-uploaded it because I realized there was a glitch in the original video. What part of TN are you planning to go?
@@flyminion probably eastern and then not sure
Nice. This spot is in the very northeastern corner near the VA/NC borders. I went there a lot in my teens because it's near my hometown, but it's kind of small potatoes compared to other stuff in the state. The Cumberland Plateau region has a lot of cinematic stuff (literally, they filmed the live action Jungle Book there). I haven't checked out the Smokies, but I'm sure there's probably some good stuff there as well.
Is this in North Carolina?
I wish. It's in northern California.
I would like to know how to get to this point are there trails to hike ? Chattooga has captured my heart and would love to learn more about this river and it's tributaries.
Yes, there are several trails to get there. I don't want to make it too easy to find since it's kind of a lesser known spot, but you can probably find enough info just by googling it. There is another place in Georgia with the same name, though, so make sure you're looking up the one on the Chattooga.
@@flyminion thanks!
Your the reason why the River is so CROWDED!!! Took any enjoyable moment that was possible & turned into a crowded nightmare! Why did you give up the location, seriously WHY???
It's not like this is a secret swimming hole. It was already well known before I posted this, and there are plenty of other videos about it, including a news report with over 100k views. I highly doubt my obscure, low quality video with no directions or coordinates in the description is what blew this place up.
Can you please tell me the coordinates of the trailhead?
I don't give out coordinates, but I think it's called the Dome Trail. It's closed right now due to fire damage. It doesn't go all the way to the falls; you have to rock hop and swim upstream from where the trail ends.
