👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I’m glad this man lived and did what he did before he left us. Massively influential to me and many others decades ago after his death.
I love the fact that the musical flow is put ahead of the time signature and its significance. Music is communication so if you’re trying to outsmart your listener it will likely work and they will no longer listen. Very evolved way of thinking for both Gavin and Simon.
Two of my favourite drummers..! 👍🏻
Which is your favorite? Do all three sound equally loud?thanks
OMG che figo 😮
Grazie in anticipo chiaramente
Potresti spiegare l'intro, è elegantissimo
Nonostante le tajatelle... oh, sei sempre bravo! Non te ferma niente.💪
una descrizione due parole??? cosi nn se capisce una mazza.......
Jeff is the best 💙
Che fenomeno mamma mia…..❤
Tengo una caja igual ❤
Can anyone tell me what track he was using?
I'll never forget hearing TOTO for the very first time ("TOTO 4", when it landed). I remember thinking, "Holy crap, who is the drummer !!!???". There is no other.
I like this version more than the original
I can't get over the commanding sound of his voice. Total seriousness, totally directive, without hostility.
Maestro di musica e non solo .
The reason I play drums ❤
Love this…
Damn...that pocket, the sound, groove and mind set. 2024 and we miss Jeff Porcaro like crazy RIP
An absolute genius. A gift from God ❤️
Lotta technique, but in all due respect he doesn’t say anything musically to me - no start ,middle recap ect .I just hear just a bunch of random ideas sewn together, which is typical, of many drum solos as opposed to kind of a compositional style musical approach- good teacher though
Such an economical aesthetic: justifying musical choices for the listener, not the musician. Wisdom.
Semplicemente geniale
Cleanliness
If I had to pick some fav musicians of mine I wish we're still here I'd go with the following... Jeff Porcaro Alan Myers Bob Casale Snakefinger Hardy Fox Keith Emerson Greg Lake Captain Beefheart and Mark Hollis
Hi , what wood is this?
Second to none.. Jeff was the undisputed groove master.
I love this clip and the same way I did years ago when I first watched it. If you saw the full dvd production you'd have seen this peramce among other startling rnb chop drummers. The reason I love this clip the same way is that Gerald intended his performance to be unique amongst the others by virtue of "raw" and "improvised". He really lets it all hang out here and risking errors along the way. Of course I noticed the occasional, and very occasional, time skips. He also even had a drum stick drop and drum stick clatter contact. None of the supposed flaws in this uniquely raw, live and honest performance did anything to diminish my enjoyment, pleasure and absolute respect for this true performance. When he tossed the head phones was the moment he declared he was doing it live and unrehearsed. His solo had all the attributes and qualities that demonstrated his true talent that even any mistakes or error I could possibly detect wasn't note worthy enough for me to even try critique his over all and final performance. It's a raw and honest performance that is most notably and famously book marked by the timer and most impressive moments he got to demonstrate throughout. The right foot single bass drum syncopated dance riffs and the splash cymbal and tom snare lyrics is what I love about this above any concievable slip . What he meant to do is clear as day
so smooth, so tight....such a genius
Thanks Maestro Antonio, for proving again the possibilities of the drumset .
How did they fit that much talent in one room?
beat for mood beat for script one Soul & One Robot so 50% / 50% Soul & Auto Pilot
Che batterista!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
❤
You can try to explain this to me a thousand times, i will never understand 😂. Just awesome stuff.
Nombre del tecladista.?
Come suonare El Pube? Semplice.. non suonarlo.. 😂❤️ Sempre il n.1️⃣..
What is special about jeff is that you can close your eyes or hear a unfamiliar track and know immediately who is playing drums on every song. Silky smooth profile on sessions, album work and his raw talent in Toto. He is my favorite drummer because he is one of the only musicians that could walk into a door and tell people like Michael Jackson or Elton John that he will find the missing piece to an amazing record.
I have been told these are better made drums than the new version….
What Batter heads did you have the drums?
Beautiful!
Not a very talented drummer
Cocaine is not cocaine today. Buddys lungs were hard as a rock from cocaine
Don't do cocaine folks. Especially these days
最高にcoolなドラマーだ🎉👍
My first into to this, just blown away!
ho capito tutto fino a quando batte le bacchette fra loro....poi mi perdo....
Never seen chrome Shelly Manne. He always used the maple one with mahogany wrap
