1986 Toyota Easy Rider Complete rebuild
This was my second rebuild after I rebuild Toyota Rogue and this took less time, had to rebuild over cab and roof and then turned out that rear wall had to be rebuild as well.

BUILDING DINING TABLE
zhlédnutí 49Před 5 lety
Building a super strong, rustic farm house trestle style dining table with timber frame mortise and tenon joinery and breadboard ends. No screws or hardware were used in its construction and it was built with mostly hand tools and some power tools. In the beginning I only had a table saw, skill saw, chop saw, and plate joiner. I did buy a drill press and planer later on. Used a lot of hand saw ...

Thank you. I have been following you guys watching your build, it is turning out very nice, great job.
Awesome job
Thank you!
Awesome job man looks amazing great video
Thank you. It was fun project for sure. My first one I got burned out as it was taking me longer than I thought it would, but I got experience and this one worked out way better.
Outstanding rebuild. TBH I enjoyed the presentation technique; no talking just some gentle music and step by step methodology. Looks like a great vehicle too. Very inspiring. Tnx.
Thank you! Yes it was great project and we loved it, in about 1.5 years we drove 17K miles on it.
Good video though
Thanks.
Your mic 🎤 is in and out
Yeah, sorry about that, I need to by mic so the sound would be normal.
Nice rv but you might want to clean your toilet!!! That was nasty 😢
Thank you and sorry about that, potential buyer asked me if I would do video for him, since he lived a farther away, did not think that this video would get so many views. Wanted to bluer it out, but not sure how to do that.
I have an 01 350 4X4rancher. Just rebuilt the carb changed out all fluids. Runs great pushes snow and wenches dead deer up ravines. Hard to beat a honda.
Agree 100%. Hondas are work horses and as long as you maintain engine oil and air filter, they will work for ever.
😊😊😊😊
Really nice work 👍
Thank you.
Awesome 6x4, man!
Thanks.
Brilliant strip down of a Toyota RV! Most people seem to stick new wood to the inside and hope it will work out! I have a 86 Toyota Dolphin which needs a rebuild, thinking of doing it in metal partion framing rather than original timber. How easy was it to copy the sides???
Thank you. I actually tried to work from inside and patch what I was able to, but then decided that it would be better and easier to remove wall at the time and copy it. I was not to bad, remove one wall at the time and copy it on the new plywood and go from there, wasn't hard but time consuming for sure. It for sure will be stronger with the metal frame, but I was surprised how strong that wall was after you add plywood on both sides. Good luck with your project.
Is that fiberglass siding? My truck camper has that exact siding on it. What is the best way to remove the siding without cracking it?
Duuuuuuumb!
You may want to check the volume on your videos before you post them.
My first thought was why remodel it then I saw the wood
Don't waist your time watching this!
Never explained the size sockets or wrenches used wat an idi*t
Sergie, great video my man! Thank you so much for making it. I realize it's almost three years old and you may not monitor this much now....but this was really well done. I am doing the brakes on my 2004 1/2 right now and the Hayne's manual isn't very good, so wanted to see how someone did the rear brakes online (the fronts were a real nightmare). I'm amazed you simply took a wrench and broke the caliper bracket free. I rounded the heads off the bolts on the front caliper bracket on mine....found out from talking to the dealer that they are lok-tited in at the factory and torqued to 250 ft-lbs. I had to borrow a special $200 Snap On socket from my mechanic buddy that has spiral cut things inside it that is made for removing rounded off headed bolts, use an Oxy-Acetylene rig to heat the bracket, and then a 3' long 3/4" drive torque wrench to finally break them free. Two new bolts from the dealership cost me $23. But at long last, the front is done, and now I'm on to the rear. Thank you again for this great video showing exactly how you did the back. I'm installing the PowerStop rotors and pads that my 8-Lug buddies say are The Good Stuff :) Take care dude!
Cuanto voltaje entra a un diferencial del polaris sportasman 800
You cut out the part where you actually got the Rotor off the wheel assembly! how did you finally get it off? I am having the same issue!!!
I didn't cut it out, I waked it with hammer to break the hold and then was able to pull it off with bigger screwdriver, don't be afraid to hit it, you are replacing it with new one anyway:)
Huh
What headlights did you replace it with?
Your stupid music sucks
The most freaking annoying music ever I have to turn it off
I had to mute it.
can we please have this show back this year!!!!!!!
wait this only for a $355
What do you mean?
Great job, I'm going through the same project right now and your video is a great guide, I just wish you'd talk and explain what you're doing on each step, I have so many questions!
Thank you! At that time I only was trying to take mostly pictures for my records. The easiest way was to me is to take off one wall at the time and duplicate it. Good luck with your project.
Quick question So it doesn’t need washers ?
I'm sorry, not sure which washers you talking about?
thank you for such a step by step process.
Youre welcome and Thank you for watchin.
I wish I knew what you did because I need this lol
What do you mean?
Should always grease the insertion pins, helps if you have to take the lights off for any reason.
Thank you for the tip.
@@sergiez449 ; it serves two purposes actually, one making it easier to remove the lights the next time and helps to keep the plastic clips for dry rotting and cracking.
VERY GOOD, JUST HOW-TO, BEST PART NO TALKING, GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Thank you!
Unfortunately your audio was virtually non existent. Could barely hear anything. Doing this same job right now on a 2004 Sportsman 700. I took the strut off because I also want to change the hub bearings. I don’t think I could have taken the ball joint out while the strut was still on the machine. I had a real fight with it while working on it in a bench vice where I could see it. Possibly because it was an older machine and it was the original ball joint. I took the strut off separately from the spring/shock assembly....... not a good idea really because I failed to keep the tension on the spring using a ratchet strap. I will end up removing the whole spring/shock and taking it too a friends shop to reassemble eventually. I was trying to avoid taking all of this out because I didn’t want to strip so much bodywork to get to the bolt at the top of the strut. This has turned into a bit more work than I wanted but at least I will have new bearings and ball joints. I may even replace the shocks while I am at it now. I also had to do the front A arm bushings. That’s what started the whole job really...... front A arm was flopping around.
I am very sorry about the audio, i have filmed it on the gopro in water proof case and thats why cant hear what i was saying. It is hard to get it out, but with that pipe i was able to drive it out and with that big socket i was able to press new one in. I am same way trying to take apart as least as possible, but sometime it is easier to take more apart and work on it on the bench. Sounds like you had serious project there. Glad that its in the past now and its done.
What do you spray onto the new rotor at 16:29?
It was brake cleaner. Rotor is covered with some type of oil to protect it from rusting, it will wear off but i like to clean it with brake cleaner so its clean and brakes nice.
@@sergiez449 Okay, thank you!
Mine both diffs are blown or both splines are stripped. Out put shafts spin from transmission but wheels do not turn at all! 2003 magnum.
My yoke got stripped out on front drive shaft, maybe check your yoke.
That's how you do it bro straight up straight up professional well done buddy.
Ha ha, Than you!
Your magic school bus music blocks out just about every word you said LOL
It's for sale, I'm from Mexico
Sorry, its not for sale.
Hi alma Aguilar I have the same one for sale I am looking for 3300
Wow... Saya suka motorhome anda.
Did you have any issues with them flashing fast
No i did not, they were flashing normal. Its just one of them would stop working and then its would work again and then would stop working again.
Use a rubber hammer
Agree, rubber hammer is way to go. I was replacing rotors so did not really care for the old once.
Thanks, that liquid crap they are putting on the roads got my RR pads bad so I'm doing rotors and pads, looks like I'll have more fun than you, that RR caliper does not want to come out.
Oh, this is sounds like fun. I usually soak rusty bolts with PB Blaster or WD40. Good luck.
Nicely done....No extraneous noise or useless blather.
Thank you.
That looks great. What thickness is the plywood that you used?
Thank you. I think its was 3/16 or so, from home depot, sheet 4x8 used to be back then around $12.
Wow!
Some people make things look so easy......nice job.
Yeah pictures dont show all this time you invest in to it. Thank you.
I love the drive but I would have done new filon all around and ditch the front Water condensating window
Agree, would do it now, but didnt think about this when i was working on it and its seemed to be to expensive at that time. I did ditch the front window on my other toyota motorhome, but sometimes i wish i had that window for the view, maybe i would change my mind after camping in cold moths.
You didn't show how you press the cilanders in one or both at same time. You camera got blurry
I did one at a time, sorry about bad angle.
@@sergiez449 just put your old brake pad in so you can compress both at the same time
what did you do for your reverse lights?
I didnt do anything to them, used the once that are on it, but was planning to add more LED lights mounted in bumper.
