Well buddy, I can tell that you’re not from here no expect the food to be that good when you come through here again the same people don’t own it anymore but that was a great place one of my favorite stores I live about 10 or 11 miles from there when I go that way I definitely love stopping

I go to nails a lot it has good food but I go sometimes for the snacks

I grew up on Woodys chicken some days it’s better than others it really depends on who’s cooking that day and it definitely pairs well with honey mustard

The old stores like that are disappearing. There's still a few around my area here in Virginia, but slowly they're closing because people want to hurry up and get to the big box store. People don't realize what a treasure these stores are. Take the time and stop in one and check it out, I'll bet you go back.

One of the last independent truck stops left in the area I think. I used to stop and get lunch and use the scales back in the day. Looks like the place has got a major facelift from what I remember.

Meridian definitely didn’t have fried soft shell crab when I moved back in 02. Now in Hampton Roads VA they’re as plentiful as crawdads are down there. You can actually get fried blue crab or soft shell crab at any Chinese/sushi restaurant- they call it “spider”

Im highly upset with the new owners . Theres been days where i havent had the greatest days an juat walking in an talking to her for even 2 mins will make your day better an the food tops it off. From the fried ribs to the collards mac an cheese an red velvet cake . I really hope she can stay
